Owning a pet is very common in our society, with cats and dogs being the most popular choice. You will, however, have two totally different experiences when taking on the responsibility of owning one or the other. As it is expected, they have different personalities, require different levels of care, and have different potential costs. Owning a pet can be a very fulfilling experience, but these differences should be taken into consideration before deciding which pet is right for you. Firstly, let’s discuss cats.
Many people believe that because of cats’ independent nature, they should be allowed to roam free. This allows them to satisfy their hunting instincts and to function within cat society, one that has its own rules and structure. Some people assert that free-roaming cats are happier cats, living a life closer to that intended by Nature. This is all true, but it is not compatible with modern life in suburban North America. Roaming cats are susceptible to attack by other animals, to trapping by angry neighbours, and most of all, to traffic accidents.

Pot bellied pigs are very unique and individualistic. Their Personalities are always one of a kind, just like dogs. Many piglets shy away from being picked up or touched very much, but this soon changes once you and your piglet bond. They usually become very affectionate and pretty much a lap “dog”. Piglets often tend to have trust issues with their new owners and that may take some time to work through.

When strangers are present, they will begin to follow their owner's every move, keeping as close as possible. A Chihuahua who is pack leader of their humans may snap at children. This breed is generally not recommended for children, not because they are not good with them, but because most people treat the Chihuahua differently than they would a large dog, causing them to become untrustworthy.
The mice are what Lennie remembers his Aunt Clara by, and that’s the only thing he has to remember her by are those mice. The mice also show that Lennie hurts things he loves, not intentionally, but that’s what he does. Since he likes to pet soft things, it leads him to kill his mice, his puppy, and Curley’s wife. Like Lennie, mice suffer because they’re small; mice’s physical smallness leaves it in danger, just like Lennie’s mental smallness does the same. Lennie’s puppy represents the victory of the strong over the weak.
Both chow-chows were excellent around people, including children, although both had issues with strange dogs. This is probably because we kept them away from most other dogs.
