Throughout this paper, the team will discuss common weight-loss concepts and the criteria for evaluating diets. Lastly the team will discuss nutritional needs for dieters and activity patterns. The first step in losing weight is to make the decision that this is necessary for self-improvement and a better, healthier lifestyle. Anyone attempting to lose weight must be careful not to get sucked into the quick gimmick, "easy" weight loss program. People should remember to go slow, eat regularly, and incorporate some kind of exercise (Boyers, 2010). When choosing a weight loss program, one should consider many different things in order to determine the right fit. It is essential to recognize the food and exercise requirements that will be required in the particular program and determine if they are right and manageable for the individual and his or her lifestyle.
