I believe that each child is a unique individual and that all children can learn. Children will be encouraged to learn and grow by providing a foundation of developmentally appropriate experiences where all children can succeed in a safe and nurturing environment. Educating young children has always been an exciting career for me. I take much proud in my career being a good educator isn’t just about teaching children skill concepts, it also involve communicating and understanding the background of their family. I chose to do my research topic on The Role Head Start plays in the life of the community, families, and children education.
Secondly, children increase social and cognitive development from positive influences that are communicated by teachers. Emphasis around Vygotsky’s theory will explain the basis of social interaction facilitating learning with the benefit of good communication (Eggen & Kauchak, 2010). Thirdly, teachers must develop high level of written and verbal communication skills. This will develop good relationships between the teacher, student and family leading to proper educational practices that will improve student’s overall outcomes will enhance their literacy skill. Finally, educators with effective communication skills prove an ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of students they are supporting (Kearns, 2012), and with appropriate delivery of good communication, student learning increases.
Explain Expectations About Own Work Role as Expressed in Relevant Standards 1-2 My expectations are to become a valuable nursery nurse, be reliable and build good relationships with children and parent carers, encouraging play whilst learning, and by having children’s best interests e.g. physical activities, encouraging climbing in a safe way, helping them to enjoy their growth in ability with lots of praise and assist in enhancing their development as a whole I hope I work as part of a team with other staff members and parent and carers in order to support the children to promote the children’s initial learning so that the children will feel confident and able to boost their self-esteem, to help them in their future, and prepare them for further education when they move onto school and into adult life. Supervising the children as this plays a big role in child protection Act and health and policy. Practitioners should always watch the children closely to prevent and reduce the severity of injury to children, as they often challenge their own abilities but are not always able to recognise the risks involved, so we need to watch children and identify any risks to minimise injury or accidents, we regularly dispose of toys that are broken, books that are torn or chewed and anything that is a danger to infants. KEEP - (the key elements of effective practice) ensure that we are all kept up to date with standards as they are reviewed on a regular basis.
My philosophy on Early Childhood Education I believe as a teacher, I am responsible for providing young children with a positive learning experience. I strive to be a positive role model for the children left in my care, and in the community I serve. Children have the right to have their needs meet, to have a positive learning experience while in the care of their caregivers. Children learn what they live, and I have the opportunity while working with these children on a daily basis to teach them how to respect one another, by leading by example. You can teach them patients by showing them patients.
Thanks greatly to the financial support of my parents, I have the opportunity to further my education and achieve my educational goals. I look forward to the challenges that lay ahead of me, all of which may enable me to become stronger and wiser, both as a student and as an
It not only provides more opportunities and options but also more academic potential. It also adds value when it comes to securing certain top positions. These values are given to you for working hard and achieving the status of a successful human being. Schools teach you good morals on how to do an effort, how to work hard, how to achieve things, how to become an adult, and how to work with others and get results. “The choices you make now, the people you surround yourself with, they all have the potential to affect your life, even who you are, forever” (Xplore).
By realizing how essential, children are to our future and encountering some critical events during my adolescence and early adulthood, I have an awakening desire to become a teacher. I stand to make a difference in my community and country, my experience as a Classroom Assistant during the On the Job Training Programme and the effect of continuous personal enhancement are the three critical events that shaped my decision about teaching. I grew up in a village where manners, respect and humility were a part of life. Where everyone knew each other, because the village was family centered. Children would be playing marbles, jump rope, hopscotch and hide and seek; but all of that has disappeared.
The reason why I want to join Year Up is that I feel that it will give me the guidance I need to further my self for the future. I believe that Year Up is a good program for me and my peers. The reason why I believe it is a good program is because it was founded to give youth the skills an training they need. To achieve there personal goals and to be confident in furthering there education. I am a good candidate for Year Up because I have many personal values that will contribute to the Year Up program.
Good communication with parents and caregivers can build support for and strengthen the important work that you are doing in the classroom. The more you know about children's academic, social, and emotional development, the more able you will be to meet their needs. Information about how well the children are progressing helps you to plan your teaching. You want the children in your care to feel successful and confident, but you also want to offer experiences that will help them to develop further. In addition, through initial screening and by checking the children's progress, you can identify those children who need special help or who face extra
‘Getting communication with parents in early years settings right, is one of the most important aspects of working with young children. If it is done well, then children, their families and the organisation will flourish.
