Benedick reveals that Claudio is in love with Hero. Don Pedro tells him that he will see Benedick in love before he dies. He then sends Benedick away to Leonato. Claudio asks Don Pedro is Leonato has any sons and learns that Hero alone is his heir. Don Pedro promises to speak with Leonato about arranging a match between them, but Claudio is afraid to speak to Hero and tell her he loves her.
“Twelfth Night or What You Will,” setting takes place Illyria where we meet Duke who is in love with his neighbor Olivia. She pays him no mind and has sworn to avoid men’s company for seven years because; she is mourning to death f her brother. Meanwhile, I ship has been wrecked and twin Sebastian and Viola have lost each other. Viola trying o work has changed her gender to be a boy, now known as Cesario. Becoming a boy she now works for Orsino who she is now in love with.
The Friar responds with, “Young men’s love then lies/ Not truly in their hearts but, in their eyes jesu maria, what the deal of brine/ Hath washes thy sallow cheeks for Rosaline!”(2.3.68-90). In the first act, Romeo thought himself to be in love with Rosaline. Romeo had been distraught over the fact that his beloved Rosaline was going to become a nun. Romeo would never be able to love Rosoline, or be with her. Friar Lawrence makes fun of Romeo saying that young men only love what they see.
He attempts to escape the loss of his family by removing himself from Vienna to Darwin. Yet he still cannot forget both his family and love of music. Similarly, Mr.Crabbe is resentful of World War 2 which ruined his dream of becoming a concert pianist. His attempt to compensate his loss by pressuring Paul to become a concert pianist is futile because he remains bitter and resentful. In the end, both fails to defeat the powerful effects of past experiences.

Each character is either in love or focused on wooing one for another, though the play focuses on the love triangle between Orsino, Viola (Cesario), and Olivia. Even with the great love between characters in the play, there is an element of self-love. Malvolio woos Olivia even though his greatest love is himself. Malvolio’s major flaw is self-love; and this trait leads him to be prideful, value himself above others, and believe that he is the victim in any given circumstance.
Tom doesn’t seem to care that his affair hurts Daisy, he proves this by take Nick (Daisy cousin) to meet his mistress “I want you to meet my girl” (pg24). He seems to ignore Daisy throughout the book until he suspects Daisy is having an affair with Gatsby, and then he seems to come unglued. “I suppose the latest thing is to sit back and let Mr. Nobody from Nowhere make love to your wife” (pg130). We learn that Hamlet had confessed her love to her but her brother warns Ophelia that as a prince, Hamlet can't choose who he is to marry and that he is probably just trying to steal her virginity. She shows how loyal she is to her brother when she tells him that she has locked her relationship with Hamlet in her memory and has given Laertes the key. As Laertes is leaving, their father Polonius enters the conversation. She tells him that she doesn’t fully comprehend Hamlet's affections but that he spoke “with almost all the holy vows of heaven.” Worried that Hamlet is not being honest with her, Polonius forbids her to be with him, to which Ophelia replies “I shall obey, my lord.” It is shown through Polonius and Laertes' talks with Ophelia that they believe she is innocent of mind and is lacking proper judgement in these situations. They also show how much they care for her and their protective nature towards her.
The play begins with Algernon suspecting that Earnest (Jack) lives a double life after reading the inscription on his case that reads ”Uncle Jack” and “little Cecily”. Failing in his attempts to lie, Jack confesses the truth while Algernon announces he too, to escape from social obligations goes to the country in order to visit his made-up sick friend- Bunbury. When Gwendolen visits Algernon with her mother, Lady Bracknell in the presence of Jack, Jack proposes to her and she agrees- confirming that she would not marry anyone with any name other than Earnest. Lady Bracknell considers Jack worthy of her daughters hand until he tells her that he was found at Victoria station, in a hand bag .Lady Bracknell forbids the match and sweeps out of the house. Jack gives Gwendolen his real address which Algernon who is interested in meeting Cecily after hearing about her, writes down on his collar secretly and in the next scene arrives at Hertfordshire, introduces himself as Earnest, Jacks brother.
