TDA 3.2 Schools and Organisations Criteria 1.1 Summarise entitlement and provision for early years education. There are different types of childcare options available for 0-5 year olds, these include:Sure Start - Giving every child the best possible start in life is an initiative called Sure Start which is government led. They offer a broad range of services focusing on Family Health, Early Years Care and Education and Improved Well Being Programmes to children aged 4 and under. Sure Start makes contact with parents as soon as possible in the child's life and can offer support to families who have developmental concerns or other worries about their child. They can also give them support in making referrals for other services.

Parents or carers who fail to protect or care for their children could be to court and the child be then removed and placed in care. Wider forms of safeguarding also include risk assessments such as providing a safe environment inside and outside a school setting. Although doctors, counselors, and foster care workers try their hardest to protect the children placed in foster care, the damage can and still does occur. After this occurs, the best plan of actions is to treat the child to correct the damage so the child can live a normal emotional life. 2.3 Explain how theories of development and frameworks to support development influence current practice. Theories of development and frameworks to support development are incredibly important to us when working with children. They help us to understand children, how they react to things, situations, their behaviour and the way they learn. Different theories and ways of working with children have come together to provide frameworks for children’s care, such as Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which is used within all child care settings. This encourages us to work together, help and check the development of babies, children and young people, to keep them healthy and safe.
In this assignment I am going to be explaining the strategies and methods that can be used to support children, young people and their families where abuse is suspected or confirmed. I will also be talking about short and long term support and actions made to make sure Jessica is safe and that all her developmental needs are being met. An adult should show respect, listen carefully, take information seriously and reassure Jessica who disclosed information about possible abuse or maltreatment. Now I am going to explain other strategies which can be used to support children or young people. Apart from the nursery care workers in the case study, other professionals who have been trained in how to deal with suspected child abuse or maltreatment should be involved.

Howdon Children's Centre aims to achieve better outcomes for children through, early education integrated with Childcare and creche, family support, outreach, and child & family health services and adult training and employment support. The Centre is scrutinised by an Advisory Board made up of local parents and partner agencies. The Early Life Support team with an emphasis on delivering prevention services, provide a wide range of services to children aged 0-5 and their families. Parenting courses available include: Freedom Programme, Triple P, Speak Easy, Babyology, Mellow Parenting and Parenting Workshops.
Unit 302- Engage in personal development in health social care and young people’s settings Understand what is required for competence in own work role 302.1.1 Describe the duties and responsibilities of own work role My duties and responsibilities as a foster carer are to provide care to looked after children (LAC) and young people of various ages. To help and protect children who may have come from difficult backgrounds and experienced abuse, neglect and a chaotic or disruptive family life. We help the child to prepare for returning home to the birth family or for an adoptive/permanent family situation. We promote and be positive about contact with the child’s parents or any wider family members. We have to work with social workers and other outside agencies and share good practice to make the placement a positive situation for the child in our care.
Safeguarding and promoting Children’s Welfare Every child receives and enjoys challenging learning and development experiences that meets their individual needs and make sure they are safe. Child minders must safeguard children at all times if abuse is suspected it must be reported and I must record it.
