President George Washington shaped and built the foundation upon which the pillars of America stand. Foreign policy is important because it has a lot to do with the trade, technology, and communications of the United States. Also by nations working together global problems can be fixed easier. Equal rights are important to the U.S because it shows that everyone has the same rights including: black people, white people, Asian, men and woman, ect. A bad president would make the economy go down, not believe in equal rights and have a bad foreign policy. The best president in U.S history I believe is Abraham Lincoln.
Assess the achievements and impact of Tiberius as princeps Suetonius states that ‘it is my belief that Augustus scale’ weighed Tiberius good qualities against the bad and decided that the good tipped the scale’. This reveals the nature of Tiberius’ succession as one of necessity. Tiberius had huge feats to live up to from Augustus’ rule; however he endeavored to continually improve the Roman Empire. His most significant achievements were based around his military reforms, foreign and civil policies, increasing involvement of the senate and his successful civil administration that had a lasting impact on Rome. Therefore, it can be stated that Tiberius, despite given power with reluctance, continued to build Rome to new a level of greatness.
As well as this, Gladstone also wanted to improve landlord and tenant relationships as the landlords could easily evict tenants randomly as it was a very unfair controlling system. The Irish Land Act meant there were limitations on the land lords’ eviction power and compensation was given for tenants who had been evicted. Numbers of lordships complained as many Protestants were absentee landowners so it was an incredible achievement to get the reforms through. Gladstone’s First Ministry could be considered successful in many ways. He improved efficiency and tackled the issue of
David Shotter – high praise for Tiberius’ skill as an administrator: “Tiberius’ principate… high standards were sought and generally enforced”. So too is Scullard, who says in his early reign, Tiberius’ “civil administration was, by general consent, excellent”. Policy to enable stability included extending governors’ times of office, and removing any who were corrupt or incompetent, where “those who overstepped the mark were dealt with harshly” (Shotter), Provincial stability based on diplomacy, not warfare; economic development pursued, ‘Romanisation’ enhanced through new settlements. Successfully quelled army mutiny on Rhine frontier, however, some difficulties also, as Pamela Bradley notes, in particular – revolt in N. Africa; Pontius Pilate in power in Judea too long (10 uninspiring years). Overall, positive – even Tacitus (generally anti-Tiberius, as a person) is complimentary.

Easing the United States out of the Depression, the New Deal was a successful strategy, and a significant contribution made by Franklin Roosevelt. He believed in creating a system to help America and he succeeded. One of his most famous quotes was, "The only thing we have to fear is fear
Caesar was one of the greatest generals to ever live. He shaped the borders of Rome, along with its laws. His Commentaries are considered some of the greatest works in the ancient world. He wrote them to keep Rome updated on his actions outside of Italy. They were intended to persuade his critics and reassure his supporters that he was doing all that was possible to protect the Republic.
Despite his selfish reign, Augustus is collectively referred to as one of the most dominant and ideal leaders in history due to the obvious facts that he: unified a powerless Senate, rebuilt the Capitol, and most importantly expanded the Roman Empire. However, further examination of Augustus’s personally and selfishly written deeds reveal quite the opposite when acknowledging the murder of his uncle. Through this acknowledgement, it is evident Augustus did not evolve into the ideal leader portrayed throughout the “Deeds of Divine Augustus”, but on the contrary, a vengeful dictator seeking world domination found through retaliation against his Uncle’s
