That’s why injuries are so common now, everyone is pushing the limits to make it to the top and live their dream. There is so much work to get race ready in Motocross. Some say it’s as much as 90% preparation and 10% racing. The physical requirements to be at the top level are ridicules; you have to be in amazing shape. Not only having great cardio, but a lot of strength to throw around a 220+ pound dirtbike for 30minutes plus two laps, twice.
After one firm kick, the bike roared. I pulled up to the gate with nineteen other riders with our handlebars touching. I sat there and visualized the track and the lines I would take in order to win the race. The thirty-second board went up and we all pinned our throttles. As I anticipated the gate dropping, I leaned forward, squeezed my thighs against the frame, pulled in the clutch, and pinned the
Lance Armstrong is known as a competitive bike racer who has accomplished a great deal throughout his life including seven tour de France victories and surviving deadly cancer. His life includes many ups and downs and is full of successes and failures. Even though Lance Armstrong battled with cancer he was still able to fight and accomplish his goals. Lance Armstrong’s call to adventure started when Lance received his first bike realizing that biking was going to be something that would ultimately change his life. He said, “When the other kids were swimming at the country club, I was biking for miles after school, because it was my chance” (Armstrong 26).
He had one of the most grueling stages on a lockdown when he noticed a heroic effort put in by one of his rival cyclers. Then out of his fairness and respect for the game he allowed the racer by the name of Marco Pantani to take the win as a sign of support for Pantani's comeback. Another epic part of Lance’s career was when he had fallen during a stage in the tour and still had the determination to get up and win the event. The scene was set in Luz Ardiden, a mountain in the Pyrenees range, where a spectator had caught their bag onto Lance’s right handlebar, causing him to crash; not only resulting in a cut elbow and forearm, but also doing severe damage to his bike. Armstrong then went on to ride a broken bike past all other racers and win the stage.
He viewed a track that was beyond the days of dirt racing and whisky running. His paved dream would attract not only racers but also the fans that adored them. So he and he alone set out to create NASCAR’s first Super Speedway. Characters of “Thunder in Carolina”, Mitch Cooper and Les York clearly portray how stock car racing was much more than a sport. The two men devote all of their time to racing, and base their lives around the sport.

At the end of the 24 races the first 12 drivers in the point standings go on collecting points for 12 more races, at the end of the those 12 races the driver with the most points and first in the point standings wins the championship. Well, now you know about my favourite sport, and I hope you like it too. Who

When the typical sports enthusiast thinks about golf, they don’t just think about the beautiful courses located around the world. Instead, they think solely on Tiger Woods and his well-known pumped fist celebration to one of his many great shots. He did what was thought of as impossible by winning four major titles in a row at just 25 years of age. Starting golf just as he began to walk and becoming what he is today while facing racism and discrimination is the finest example of determination and perseverance in the sports world to this day. He was born on December 30, 1975 and started carrying his putter around with him instead of a rattle at just 18 months old.
Cowboys aren’t always about working, they like to have fun as well, that is of course when they have time for it. Some of a cowboys hobbies are rodeos, trail rides, roping, and many other things. Rodeos are a big part of a cowboy since back in the old days that’s where it originated was a bunch of cowboys got together and tried to ride some of the rankest horses to see who could stay on the longest. Today rodeo is a still a big hobby to a cowboy, almost every weekend you can find all the true cowboys behind the bucking chutes entering up to ride a bucking bronc or a wild raging bull. But if they are not there they are down at the arena with some of their close friends having their own roping.
There are world-class hiking trails throughout the city as well for the more adventurous types. The most popular areas to hike are located in Chautauqua Park. Many of the trails start at the Western edge of the city, while others are a short drive away. The trails vary in difficulty: some are quite easy while there are some that are technically challenging. Many athletes, recreational runners, and cyclists make use of these difficult courses at this breath-taking altitude to train more efficiently than those who would train at sea level or lower elevations.
