In every dance performance are company had I excelled and was pushed to the front, in doing that, I became big-headed and thought I was the best and that no one could tell me anything. My head got so big that I would hurt new members that came into the team. I would make fun of the new members and when they would ask for help I would blow them off. Being a team player at this point of my life I was unaware of the meaning and didn’t think twice about finding out and really didn’t care. In high school, I had a worse experience in not being a team player.
Sitting in my Dual-Credit Teacher Cadet Class listening to my instructor tells us, “see at this stage of life, children believe that all their friends have two cars, a big house and food on the table every night, because they haven’t experienced anything else” and everyone laughed and moved on. But for me, I knew from the very beginning that my sister and I had a very different life from everyone else, but for a long time I didn’t know why. My name is Charmaine Littlejohn; I was born on May 21, 1996, healthy as I can be. I grew up in a single parent household with my sister and my mother since my father decided that he would like to take a more indirect parenting course throughout my life. It is Elementary My Dear Watson! As a spirited child in elementary school, I was very hyperactive and could not sit in one spot for more than a country minute. One day, I was not able to stay in my seat; Mrs. Jepson my grade school teacher had a special place in the back of the classroom where she would tape my hands and feet together. If she got too frustrated with me, she would send me outside to play. Carol Dweck’s Mindset: The New Psychology of Success shows how labels can deeply affect the way you lead your life.
Sarah Pageau Religion December 11, 2011 Per.1 8B I walked into Las Vegas Day School’s 3C classroom excited and nervous for the first day of school. My teacher was Mrs. Negrin. She was super nice and made us all feel welcome. I was looking forward to this year because I heard from the big kids that we all did a lot of fun activites. My goals for the year were to have lots of fun and get good grades.

My mother had five sisters and five brothers and most of them had children, so I was around family all of the time, having ten people living in a three bedroom home, and with all the dogs and cats my grandmother used to own never really seemed abnormal. I overheard my mother carol and father Robert talking about how people from the islands migrate to America in order to seek better opportunities. Night after night I would hear them fighting weather to go or not, but ultimately after a few months of thinking they eventually came to a unanimous decision… so that’s what they did. Overall middle school was the worst two years of my life. It was the stage of immaturity, peer pressure, confusion and overprotection. I would do anything not to go back and just skip through everything because I became who I am now in the next five years of my life. Those two years were a waste of time because we all tried to be kids who were cool and hip, now realizing what really mattered. Being
