Believe In Your Dream Gave soul to the game, but my body betrayed me. Don’t you forget me? “I believe basketball is a get away from the difficult things in life.” This is a quote by Joseph Blasdell in his article I Believe In Basketball Being More Than Just A Game. Many people if they have stress or problem, turn to basketball. Basketball helps people to believe in themselves and they can take their mind off anything while they’re playing. To play basketball a person must have a creativity and strategy. Steven Palmer says, “Passion is not meant to justify a selfish, immoral life, but rather to seize upon something that helps one lead a life of fulfillment, service and individual integrity.” This would be a good way to describe my passion. Annie Howell’s in her essay describes her passion for walking: “It's my simple way of observing the world around me, interacting with the commonplace, feeling the life in my body and the earth.” This would be a good way to describe my passion for basketball. My passion? I love basketball. This is my dream to become a basketball player, but my friends and a few people are telling me I am not good enough or tall enough to play basketball, and I know that they are right. But I’m still hoping that maybe someday I will become a professional basketball player. Basketball is a physical sport, but you can also release your stress or problem, and it is a way of life. How did I get started playing basketball? My life is like a basketball. In every game and every running, I liken it to the fight of my life. When I was an Elementary. I was sitting inside my classroom looking outside the window and thinking something about what I’m going to do. Nothing gave me any excitement or made me feel happy. Then I saw somebody playing basketball outside in my classroom, I told myself. I want to try to play basketball. Harold Ford, Jr. in his quote
