The way I improved my paper was taking my instructors constructive criticism and making the necessary corrections, to the best of my ability. I had obvious problems with the comma usage, dangling modifiers, and it was no question that I have to improve my vocabulary. Referring back to the text book and using the Thesaurus definitely helped me make the best revisions that I can make. The most challenging part of this assignment for me was to expand the use of my vocabulary. I know a lot of words; I just don’t use them in my everyday conversation, thus making it more difficult to incorporate in my essay.
The difference in the two is that although Amy’s mother did have a hard time speaking the language clearer that the average English speaker she was able to have a language with her family that was English but they had a certain bond with it. Richard Rodriguez on the other hand was told he had to speak English even with his parents but his parents were no more an English speaker than he; so, once he began to understand the language better and speak it with his parents, his parents were the ones
In the previous levels personal development was not planed thus some of the areas suffered causing a decrease in the knowledge levels. Over the years personal development was random and skills acquired were easily forgotten due to lack of adequate practice and use of these knowledge in the practical world. The personal development plan was designed to tackle the areas where weakness was seen in the learning process and ensure the areas of strength were maintained at high levels. The work of Booth and Rowntree had for the first time highlighted that fact that people were not in poverty just because they were lazy. The majority of the cases were caused by unemployment, sickness, old age, large families and low wages. The Liberals knew now if they were going to have a strong country and keep control of the country they needed to address this. They used data collected during 1905-1909 to come up with the Liberal reforms. During 1906-1914 the Liberals made a huge progress in beginning to deal with poverty but the reforms did not make a big a difference as first thought during this time so they were not completely successful in dealing with the issue of poverty.
I did not realize how easy it is to unintentionally use bias language. Specifically, careless use of pronouns, subject-verb agreement, using open-ended age definitions, or how the order of presentation of groups can show superiority over others is all examples of errors I commit in my writing. Chapter 3 of the APA Manual will serve as a useful resource not only throughout my career, and for future writing I undertake. It provides a clear explanation of the essential components of sound expository writing and I walk away with more attention, and to pay careful attention to in my future
Also, another major focus of the book is on John Smith’s life after he returned to England. Historically, the book is extremely accurate and researched. However, two issues become apparent when reviewing this book. An issue that may be common for readers is that this book is difficult to read in short sittings. If the reader does not read the book regularly, it can be easy to forget important details.
Before the American Revolution, life was simple and in fact very boring because of the way England was treating them; governing them even though they were not in England. It was definite at that point that life was not going to get any easier unless the colonists stood up and did something about it. In earlier times, when colonists first arrived in North America, life was already hard. They were still under British law and had other natural obstacles to overcome. They had no decent terrain to grow crops and the Native Americans were hostile to some colonists.

These soft skills are: Basic Skills: Because of our educational system, most of us have not improved our reading skills further than college level. These basic skills are mainly responsible for 70% of our success but most schools fail to recognise this in their curriculum. Universities and colleges follow the same pattern as the schools and therefore make the same mistake of not encouraging or teaching these skills. Interpersonal Skills: Skills such as effective negotiations, goal settings are important to the project controls profession. Experiential Learning: The International Masters in Practising Management(IMPM), was founded by Henry Mintzberg.
