1. Annie Withey exhibits many personal traits that entrepreneurs need to suceed. She is a great creative leader who has very good insticts with the future market. She is also a very humble person who still reads and writes back to all the people who email or write her letters that suggest new products, she also loves hearing about how much her customers love her product. 2. The company evolved from a small business a multiimillon dollar leader in the natural organic food industry because she started with the cheddar cheese flavored popcorn, called Smartfood which became one of the fastest selling snack foods in United States history. However, Annie later sold the brand to PepsiCo Inc's Frito-Lay for $15 million in 1989. However Annie realized that the all natureal white cheddar tasted just as good on pasta as it did on popcorn, thus creating Annie's Homegrown. Annie doesn't feel like she is very good at selling the product so she delegated day to day mangement to others and focused on doing what she does, creating new recipes. Annie's Homegrown offers 80 natural and organic pasta and canned products, as well as snack crackers and microwavable version of it's famous macroni and cheese designed for college students. The company is persuing to choose the right investment company to help fuel their long term growth. 3. After visiting Annie's website I saw numerous unique features such as the giving back section of her website that showed that they give back to the community and donate to programs that connect people to real food. They also support school gardens for kids and give agricultural scholarships.Also they have all their reciples on their website.
