In some cases, animals are kept captive and are forced to do things they probably wouldn’t approve of if they had the choice. These animals should either be taken care of better, or put into their natural habitats to live their lives the way that they were meant to. They didn’t ask to be taken from their families and to go to places they don’t know. Put yourself in their situation, wouldn’t it be scary to be taken from your home to be forced into doing abnormal things that could potentially harm you? Although we don’t know what goes on in their minds, or what their emotions are, you can only imagine what their thinking.
This results in red imprints and cuts around their necks. The dogs often have only nubs for front or back legs, because of the many fights that break out . Dogs from puppy mills are often diagnosed with sicknesses such as respiratory infections and pneumonia, as well as hereditary defects. It is hard for animals to enjoy, or barely even tolerate conditions like these. People should also avoid buying their dogs at pet stores because most of the dogs there come from puppy mills.
Cages are very confined and squishy and the animal would probably become quite aggressive trying to get out of the small cage. It is cruel to keep animals in cages because they lose their natural instincts. In their natural habitat animal’s hunt, kill, breed, hide from predators and live with their own kind. In cages animals are lucky to have another animal of their species in the cage. They are given food and practically forced to breed.
Testimony: Their owners "really love these animals but they're loving them to death," says Tim Harrison, director of Outreach For Animals, a rescue operation in Dayton, Ohio. (Guarino, 2011, Oct 20) 5. Document: To meet the demands of those who keep exotic animals as pets, dealers often have to take the animals from their native lands. This disrupts the ecosystems from which they are stolen, and can disrupt the ecosystems to which they are taken if they escape
How is it that humans can test on animals, while the animals feel everything that humans feel? It shouldn’t be okay to test on animals because they have the same pain tolerance as humans do. The testing on animals is dangerous and it is harming the animals; it is cruel to the animals by keeping the animals locked up in cages, humans use the animals for testing the products that the humans use for the use of humans only, and it is unfair to the animals by keeping them in the lab and not letting the animals run around. Humans shouldn’t be able to test on animals. The humans that say testing on animals helps the United States with the problems that are going on and make sure the product is safe to use so it can be tested on animals to see if it will harm the humans before the use.
Although some may argue that animals should not be held in captivity. I believe that animals should live in captivity because of harm from humans, to humans, and bad living conditions. There are many reasons why humans should not keep animals in captivity. Animal parks such as Sea World and Busch Gardens are forcing animals like Killer Wales into breeding over and over. “Orcas should not be forced to endure a lifetime of captivity, and it is irresponsible for Sea World to breed more animals to lead such a life”.
We will not make them suffer long painful deaths. Ethical treatment of animals can be solved using the deontology theory. “Deontology focuses on what we are obligated to do as rational moral agents. It is particularly important to see that the deontologist does not say that actions do not have consequences; rather, the deontologist insists that actions should not be evaluated on the basis of the action's consequences (Mossler, 2010).“ One example of the deontology theory in action is your livestock is being attacked by a wild animal. In efforts to protect your livestock you shoot and kill the wild animal.
There is great variety in the job: Medicine, surgery, radiology, laboratory work. All that on a variety of animal species including the odd exotic pet The Negatives. There are bad pet owners out there & you'll have to deal with that. You'll get clients that want to euthanize a perfectly healthy 1 year old dog because he barks too much or his/her spouse doesn't like You'll get people who want to euthanize a pet because they don't wanna pay for medicine Your love for animals might interfere with your career, if you have to perform surgery on an animal or euthanize them. The cost of education, Vet schools cost more than medical schools It's harder to get into Vet school Helping injured animals is great, You can save them from dying, You get a really cheerful mood knowing that you helped out someones loved pet, live-stock animals.
Holding animals in captivity hurts them in many ways. They are deprived of their freedom because they cannot experience the normal existence of other animals in the wild. Animals should not be held in captivity because of the social, psychological, and environmental effects that it has on them, this can be changed by using the funding for zoos, aquariums, and other captivity environments to make more wildlife reserves where the animals can live wild and free. Holding animals in captivity is just plain out wrong. The captivation of animals has been done for years and along with this captivity has come many horror stories of attacks on humans which resulted in deaths.
And issue is that the available animals in a shelter do not meet the desired criteria of the potential adopters.” (Sexton, J. (2011). Sexton also defines various words in this article. These words include Feral, heat, and neuter, spay, and euthanize. She gave the history of how things the private owned dealt with the overpopulation of animals.
