Introduction The events of September 11th 2001 have cause a major alteration in the world. After 9/11 many countries throughout the world have increased security in airports and country borders, and increased security in main areas of major cities. The biggest consequence of 9/11 however was the USA’s war on terror. The war on terror was started with the objective of recognizing, finding and destroying terrorists, denying sponsorships to terrorist organizations and defending people all over the world from future terrorist attacks. However, the USA’s war on terror has had a negative effect on many countries in the world as well as their own, and their citizens by creating animosity in the international community, causing a downturn in their own economy and their major allies, and ruining their international reputation.
9/11 Report Stephanie Parris Everest University July 18, 2012 On September 11th, 2001 the United States was shaken to the core. Two terrorist hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center killing and injuring thousands of people. Another plane was hijacked and hit the Pentagon. Since then, the 9/11 Commission has issued report on the events, the short comings of security, and future recommendations to prevent such acts from reoccurring. Islamic terrorism had continued to grow, and Islamic terrorists had provided warning to the US that they would be attacking great numbers of people within the US.
Cyber terrorists can be motivated to target organizations that will result in the radical’s group to cause the most harm and/or receive the most attention for their party. Cyberterrorists use the internet to spread propaganda and enlist new members and use DoS/DDoS attacks to cause disruption to companies that represent actions against their belief’s (Vacca & Rudolph, 2011). Cyber terrorists can also steal information to be used for self-serving strategic purposes. Kostadinov (2012) makes the distinction between cybercrime and cyberterrorism in that the latter should resemble terrorist attacks via traditional methods but perpetrated virtually. Kostadinov goes on to note that most cyberterrorism actions are generally focused on website sabotage and email blasting.
GLOBAL INJUSTICE: TERRORISM Terrorism is the use of violence and or intimidation by a person or a group of people to achieve a political goal. That is one of the many unofficial definitions of terrorism some other definitions now include acts of unlawful violence and war. Studies have found that there are over one hundred different definitions of terrorism but people today use the term terrorist to describe islamism or jihadism and ignoring the non-islamic organizations or individuals. Terrorism has been used by many political organizations, nationalistic groups, religious groups, revolutionaries, and ruling governments. one consistent characteristic is the use of violence on non-combatants to gain publicity for a group, cause, or individual.
Since September 11, 2001, the United States has had many changes to its security and its focus on who is a threat to it. The government created a department called homeland security and its whole purpose is to protect, prevent, and recover from terroristic or any type of threats America is given. As people may have noticed, airports and other things involving the risks of other people’s lives have gotten more difficult to get through. They have introduced new methods to point out if there is any kind of threat whether it be bombs or weapons used to put people in danger. It’s a very serious job that the people that run these checkpoints are very pains taking and very accurate at what they do.

Prior to September 11, 2001 terrorism was regarded as a federal problem and state and local resources were not leveraged in any capacity focusing on terrorism.
This legislation was introduced in a rapid fashion following the attack of 9/11. Because of this, it had some points of vagueness and left it open for misinterpretation. Organizations like the ACLU fed on this and released multiple reports demeaning the substance of the Act. In doing this, it introduced fear to the public that their civil liberties were being greatly compromised. In reality, the majority of the legislation is directed towards people suspected of terrorism.

The United Nations has contributed in this way by holding meetings to discuss the climate changes throughout the world and what can be done to help. Terrorism is also a rising problem throughout our world. It brings destruction and tragedy to many nations and needs to be stopped. It poses threats and then follows through with them unless they are stopped. However, terrorism can be taken care of and controlled by other countries through war.
