Gilgamesh never thought about how hard his people had it, and he would have continued to think that they had it easier than they really did. He would have never figured it out unless he had the experience, which he did thanks to Enkidu. In the end, Enkidu really changed Gilgamesh’s perspective on the world and they way things are when you’re not being waited on all the time. Enkidu made Gilgamesh realize that he had to help others out and can’t just be helped. He made him know what it was like to have a loving friend, and the devastation of loosing one.
This championship definetely did not end the problems in our world with racism or even for that time. It was a significant moment in which the underdogs had won, they came from the bottom and were on top now and had given their people some recognition and made them proud. Coach Don Haskins’s didn’t fix all racism issues, but he helped join black and white a little closer and help realize that we all want to be loved and have a sense of togetherness. I can only imagine that a large portion of society at the time would have wished for a world where everybody is happy and care free. So Aldous Huxley creates a place where society is always happy and care free.
A person like Chris McCandless who has everything in the world is still unsatisfied on what is around him. He has family, money and a great education that will soon be his great future but he thinks that everything related to wealth is sinful. Chris made a journey to search for the true meaning of life and escaped it pressures. He also tried to travel by using his instincts in life by living naturally without other's aide. Whereas he helped people suffering of hunger by donating all of his college money, he forgot to help himself.
Although he gave his employees great benefits, he expected extremely hard work and dedication from them. He didn’t take criticism from others well and believed that his most significant adviser should be himself. Even when Edsel was named president of the company, internally, Henry refused to lose control and reportedly never truly stepped down. By depending only on himself, as time went on he failed to recognize the changing needs and wants of the consumers. The Model T became outdated in the 1920’s.
It was Socrates being a good man and trying to reach out to others in making them succeed in life which is what cost Socrates own life in the long run. For one Gatsby is considered to everyone in east egg “new money.” Gatsby was very poor and worked his way up to wealth. Tom was born with all of his wealth and is not a hard worker like Gatsby. Secondly Gatsby is a dreamer and Tom has no goals in his life.
