Div. 2001) In these two cases the holding concluded that the sorority house was a dwelling because, even though the house was vacant during the summer during the time of the crime, sorority members planned to return and take up residence in the fall. Contrastingly, a seven story school building was not considered a dwelling. Although, the upper level offices contained two beds that were used for overnight stays twenty to thirty times per year by
Read: Read this story of a college freshman—let’s call him Raul—who moves back in with his parents for the summer after attending his first year of college out of state. Even though he feels close to his parents and wants and needs their support, he is also used to having more autonomy than they are used to giving him. (Perhaps your students will be able to relate to the predicament.) That situation activates the autonomy-connectedness dialectical tension for Raul. Instruction: After reading the story again generate eight different approaches Raul might take to dealing with the tension that correspond to the eight strategies identified by researchers: 1) denial: Raul thinks that his current situation is not as bad as it seems, because his parents are being his parents.
College students can waste almost all of their money on food if not spent wisely. For instance, taking a trip to the store and buying groceries will get students much more for their money than spending it on fast food all the time. Buying bread and deli meat is a good money saving decision because those sandwiches will last them longer than a fast food meal for a night. Students who are smart with their money and who make the right decisions on what and where to eat will save themselves large amounts of money. Also, buying healthier snacks may not taste as sweet as donuts or cakes but they do cost less.
Remember you have to eat and unless you’re on a meal plan (which is still basically paying) you will have to go out and buy your own things to eat there is no mommy or daddy there anymore to help make sure your mouth is fed so you’ll have to try to save as much as you can to provide for yourself. Enough with all the food talk what about your books the most important thing in college is for you to expand your knowledge and without books it will be hard for you to gain that knowledge. I researched a few college textbooks and the prices look like a monthly car payment. The cheapest book I’ve seen was about $150 now imagine you have 5 classes you do the math that’s $750 dollars. Now imagine all your professors want you to have the textbooks immediately but you have no way to pay for the books because you spent your money on items you didn’t need or eating out when you didn’t need to.
One question I have come across in my years as a student isn’t the how we say awake, but the why we stay awake. “Voluntary sleep deprivation is a common occurrence for many college students…”. When you’re in college or even high school, getting good grades matter. In order to achieve that goal of straight A’s we students have convinced ourselves that the more we can stuff into our brains, the better we’ll do on the test. However stuffing information into your brain takes time, which is taken up by being in school and other activities.
It would not be able to cut back his hours and taking a class that is not required would take a lot of his time. The Study Skills class requires note taking in his current classes. This would allow him to put more attention on the note taking and possible less understanding of the material for the specific class. Which could possibly distract him and lose his focus. However, Study Skills comes with many important reasons to keep the class.
My mom looks at the ingredients in whatever she is going to but before she buys it. Even though we do have a lot of food at our house , most of it isn’t pre-prepared. My mom cooks dinner for us just about every night, but we do have a lot of microwavable foods that I eat. I think that it would possible to eat healthier, but my little brother my dad eat the most junk food and drink the most soda. In order to be healthier, we can get rid things like Rockstar, and buy less soda.

All grade levels should be able to go off campus because the food the school provides is gross and unhealthy also, we go to school all day, we all should get the opportunity to eat wherever we want on the one break we actually get. Most foods that are served at high schools are not very good, or at least are not foods people ask to eat. Most foods are unhealthy and are not good for your nutrition. An example is the chips they sell. Also, they do not always have enough meals for everyone, sometimes they run out.
The next issue on board is that year round school would improve the social life of a student. a. Elaine Warrick-Harris says in her book (Childhood Educaiton) that families have more opportunities to take vacations during the off-season, so they can enjoy lower rates and less-crowded areas; though this may seem helpful some families this may lead to problems in families whose children are on different school calendars b. Since vacation times are staggered and may interfere with system-wide teacher training this can create stress by conflicting schedules will not depreciate the time a teacher is usually home with their family III. Finally the third problem that arises is cost for year round schooling a. Instead of nine months of cafeteria food for the kids it would be a year’s worth, this goes too for the electricity, and also the payroll of the teachers.
