A hard lesson learned It was one of the sunny mornings when I felt exceptionally merry. I was in a good mood as my parents have left me $400 for my expenses during the time she would be away with my father in China. I was over the moon contemplating about the things I could do with $400. I could survive on only bread and jam the whole week and even have money to buy the latest game console. It was certainly a great way to start the day. The grueling physical education with endless running finally ended. I could hardly feel my feet I walked back to the classroom. He decided that the evidence in my wallet was enough to suspend me or expel me once my parents came back. I was flabbergasted, how could they just make me guilty without listening to me? They did not even call my parents as it seemed to be too troublesome. Instead they chose to console Tom and his parents. I knew that it was because of my poor background that made me more a thief, The entire week was horrible. I did not want to leave the house. I only survived on bread and butter since the school took the money as ‘evidence’. I felt humiliated and angry all the time. Nobody contacted me, not even my best friends. They were certain that they should not mix with thieves. My parents finally returned. They rushed down to the school to clarify maters. The authorities instead of feeling remorseful blamed me for incompetence to tell the truth. My parents were furious. They wrote a long complaint letter to the Ministry of Education and transferred me to another school. The matter was finally resolved when the principal and Mdm Soh was reprimanded for their actions and I will cleared of all the blame.
