The motivation plan is specifically designed for the Employment Verification Division (EVD). The employees are Angela, Deborah, Susan, and Julian. Team B is composed of one interactive style, one interactive cautious style, one interactive dominate style, and one steadiness dominate style. The team DISC assessment does not have a true dominate style; however the motivational plan created ensures the capture of each unique personality and identifies the style that works well in a group work environment. The primary focus of the team is to improve "interdependency among tasks—the success of the whole depends upon the success of each member and the success of each member depends on the success of the others" according to Robbins and Judge, (2013, pg.
So far, Ava has been very successful with running the store, but employees feel intimidated by her, as she is very critical, focuses only on correcting employees’ mistakes and never praises their work. Palazzo Shoe Store has seven other employees apart from Ava. Michael, who had been there the longest and was the top seller, Nikki, the assistant manager, Fernando, who had been there second longest and had Nikki’s position before her, Isabelle who came at the same time as Nikki, Jose, who had been there for about eight months and did not seem to take the job too seriously, Heather, the main employee we’re focusing on in this case and who had reached second place after Michael, and Maria, who was hired one week before Heather. Employees at Palazzo receive either an hourly wage or the 9.75 percent sales commission if it is higher than the wage. To make the work even for everyone, employees have an “Up Dog” list with the employees’ names; the name that is at the top of the list has to deal with the customer coming through the door.
Becoming a CNA was easy for Daphne, but the career had its disadvantages. When after one year as a CNA, in a nursing home, she was accused of an act she did not commit. With an abuse offense behind her license, she was terminated and had to find another job. Always being written up for the negative things that take place on the job is another obstacle Daphne faced. Daphne had been written up and reported several times for having to leave the job to get to her kids for whatever reasons.

The custom made product captivated the attention of the serious runner however her previous supplier went out of business leaving her a more financially risky alternative. Understandably the owner of Runner Supply is concerned with alienating her loyal customers by changing directions too drastically but remaining stagnant with competition moving in could eventually mean closing her doors. Case Study Paper- PHIL 215 It is now two and half months since Francine began her role as adjunct-professor at Mogwai University. She remains unfazed by the lack of compensation and has been performing exceptionally well thus far. She is now faced with an ethical situation as her employer has been erroneously paying her twice the contracted amount for the past two months. She believed that this was Mogwai’s policy of compensating four months worth of work during the first two months of service, however it is now past two months and she is still being overpaid. As the Human Resources Consultant, I will advise her on how to resolve this issue.
Ethnicity and Gender come into this as ethnic people are also considered working class and transgender, gays etc. are not socially excepted so they become part of the working class. (Macionis, 2008, p. 308). These three issues are also connected by the three sociological theories of Durkheim, Marx and Weber. The Functionalism Theory by Emilie Durkheim relates as it is about social expectations and social order.
I do not feel the Toy Company has violated any employee rights because of the four days on four days off schedule that has been implemented. The employee cannot prove we made the work environment so intolerable to his or her religious beliefs. In the case of Duffy v. Paper Magic Group, the plaintiff states she was constructively discharged based on a pattern of discrimination (Duffy, 2008). She claims she was passed over for promotion for a younger employee and that superiors made comments regarding her age. Evidence showed that she had several promotions while being employed and that her job performance were averages.
Family, Government, Education, Religion and the Legal System are all Institutions that shape our daily lives and influence how we live. Functionalists view society as a system with multiple parts. Each part is vital and must work in conjunction with the other in order for society to function. The need for unity between the Institutions is essential, so compromise is reached by all parties. Consensus provides collective agreement and moral consensus maintains social order and stability.
