Headteacher: Lets consider what these students have said. I must let the GTC know today which finalist we have chosen. Me: Well first lets see who the three candidates are. We got Marissa, she claims to be fit, active and responsible. She is in a debating team, showing clear skills of speech. Next up we got Didier, a bold persona. He is body building since we was 12 and has won ten competitions so far. He knows to map read and is capable of lighting a fire on his own. He knows how to negotiate and isnt scared to get his hands dirty with hand work. Last but not least, we got Kim. An active person as well, that plays football and cycles. He completed his lifesaving badges in swimming and rock climbs during his free time. He has won a Science fair prize showing that he is quite clever. He is a steady person and likes to work with others, makes new friends easily and likes overcoming obstacles found in his way. Headteacher: Sounds like a tough call, really. The competition this year looks quite stiff. All the three candidates are able for this competition. We need to look closer to decide which one is the best option. Me: Marissa has shown us that is totally capable of all the physical activities and that she is good at debating, but hasnt really said anything about survival abilities. She dislikes bugs and other reptiles which might cause problems in the actual test. She is clever though and is commited to overcome anything. Didier shows to be a bold and strong person but has clear signs of narcissism. This might interfer with the teamwork in GTC and can cause a wide range of problems. If you ignore that though he is more than skilled for this competition. He also knows how to build things by him self and knows basic scout skills. Kim on the other hand, seems to be a pretty well balanced guy. He is fit by doing all kinds of sports. He knows how to rock climb
