I want to be a positive role model to all the young children in our community, and show them that if you set your mind to do it you can achieve anything with hard work and dedication. I also feel this way about being a cheerleader. I feel that a Captain should lead with their heart, not their mouth. I have a vision for my team and we will work together to achieve it. Each year I set goals for myself, and work diligently toward making them become possible.

To develop a better understanding of their experience, we will focus on 5 areas of wrestling that African Americans were a part of. Using historical data and biographies, we will analyze the history of wrestling as it relates to African Americans and 3 very different personal experiences of African Americans as it relates to the dynamic nature of challenges faced in the world of wrestling. The purpose of this paper is to educate and inform the reader of the major contributions African Americans have made to wrestling. THE AFRICAN AMERICAN PROSPECTIVE ON WRESTLING The African American Prospective on Wrestling 3 Throughout the history of the United States African American wrestlers have fought for the right to stand equal with their opponents on the mat. The purpose of this paper upon the completion of reading it is to display the African Americans prospective on the sport of wrestling.
It moved even further away from sporting legitimacy when a later generation of promoters felt compelled to introduce popular non-wrestlers into the contests and choreograph their ring victories. This is the point where professional wrestling abandoned the strict sporting model and turned into what would later be cleverly, ambiguously termed ‘sports entertainment’. Feeding further into audience allegiances, the wrestlers began to act out characters in order to present a consistent good guy versus bad guy dynamic. Eventually the character roles or ‘gimmicks’ became an even more important aspect of the success of professional wrestling than the grappling itself. Soon enough the structures of television production prompted wrestling personalities to deliver snappy monologues to camera to promote upcoming shows or threatening inter-wrestler dialogue to build anticipation for a bout.
At Warren I am a member of F.B.L.A. and have been elected Captain of my lacrosse team two years in a row by my fellow teammates. My role as a captain has easily been the hardest test of leadership I have ever endured. I am completely responsible for the behavior and motivation of over thirty teenage boys for two hours every night on top of school work. Since high school, it has become more difficult for me to get involved in the community.
From this, my students will be able to express their individuality and I can help them develop this. I want my student athletes to be unique and, with that in mind, possess unique skills as it pertains to sports. I believe that if student athletes possess a firm understanding of who they are as individuals and what they are capable of, and then they can truly develop their individual style(s) of play. This in turn can help lead to team unity and can establish a team spirit within all the student athletes that can lead to camaraderie and ultimately, success. From the first gym in Santa Cruz, CrossFit has exploded into over 5,000 CrossFit gyms across the globe. CrossFit is taking over the fitness world and it’s important to really understand what it is. Credibility Statement: I am a CrossFit coach at a local gym in town called CrossFit Blackbox and I have been doing CrossFit for about two years now. At wrestling practice we practice technique for an hour and a half and then condition for the last half hour. From the hard conditioning my endurance is exceptionally great. I am able to push my body for long periods of time at peak performance. It shows my body what fatigue feels like. My mile time has reduced from 6 minutes 50 seconds to 5 minutes 40 seconds, which is a huge jump.
“It took me almost two years, but we are ready to get this program started again.
