Do Illegal Immigrants Harm America? In the last decades or so immigration is proving to be an increasing and substantial threat to American economy, security and over- population. In the quest to live the great American dream, millions of people from all across the globe immigrate to the United States every year. One of the facts about illegal migration is that millions of people are immigrating using illegal ways, without being detected or stopped. There must be some weakness in the state system which is failing to counter check paths of illegal immigration. While we have to respect the poor and needy, there is no depth in the argument, that it is fair to break laws if it is for good reasons. However, illegal immigrants pose potential problems to American economy. They are often a financial burden on America’s economic industry and its’ employers, and they retain a high percentage of injured workplace employees, resulting in more costs to the employers. Moreover, illegal immigrants contribute to the U.S. economy through their investments and consumption of goods and services; filling of millions of essential worker positions resulting in subsidiary job creation, increased productivity and lower costs of goods and services; doing the job that most Americans don’t even think about doing. So, who is going to grow our crops and clean our streets for example? Yet, not all illegal immigrants are terrorists. They want to come legally to do the jobs Americans don’t want, but our broken immigration system doesn’t allow that to happen. If there were legal channels for these migrants to use, the government could concentrate on identifying the real terrorists. Instead, the government is wasting money and manpower trying to keep out the immigrant workers the U.S. economy needs
