What Makes a Leader Successful?

What makes a leader successful has to basically do with to things that are within true leaders hearts and minds. His, or her job, duty, and/or tasks, and caring for his,, or her Soldiers. In other words it is my way of say a NCOs two most basic responsibilities, the accomplishment of the mission (be it job, duty, or task) and the welfare of the Soldier First I will go over the a leaders mission. I can go over many things that make a leader successful but I will try to break it down when it comes to missions. Being in the military for a few years know I seen good leaders and I seen great leaders. A few bad leaders as well. A good and great leader have one thing in common that makes them a success if not exceed in success. That knows there jobs and finishing a duty and/or task that will help if not complete the mission at hand. A good leader doesn’t have to know manuals by heart, only that they know how to reference material and complete a task complete and with mission complete rate at less above 95 percent. Even if a mission seems like it will fail or the time schedule is not in cooperation with the task’s completion a leader will find a way to complete. The reason a lot of leaders seem like bad or incompetent leaders is because most are rushed into a leader’s position before they feel like their time to grow is complete. I know sometimes it can not be helped and a unit needs leaders but that is when a good leader steps in a helps that leader out. Others are just plan as day bad or horrible leaders. Last is the Soldier. I know that being a leader it is not our job to be friends with the Soldiers however it is good to become good acquaintances and get to know their Soldiers. That is when some things get crazy as Soldiers think a leader is becoming a friend and try to get away with things. That is not the case. Leaders need to get to know their Soldiers in order to
