The parts of life that have become easier, such as the ability to get from point a to point b in a short period of time, or the ways which technology has improved healthcare, are both things that I think Lao-Tzu would have appreciated. Even though a lot of transportation seems to be very complicated, it makes life simpler and less chaotic than those worlds in the past where transportation could take days. Lao-Tzu states “The simplest pattern is the clearest. Content with an ordinary life, you can show all people the way to their own true nature.” It makes sense that if Lao-Tzu argued that a simple pattern was the clearest, that the means of transportation in America would be accepted because the fact of how much easier it makes the rest of our life. When people don’t have to worry about taking five hours to go ten miles by horse, other aspects of life become more clear and important, which is essentially what Lao-Tzu argued would happen.
It became impossible to coordinate production and shipment so that each product would arrive at the right place and at the right time. At first he tried accumulating large inventories to prevent delays or stoppages of the assembly line, but he soon realized that stockpiling wasted capital. Instead he took up the idea of extending movement to inventories as well as to production. He perceived that his costs in manufacturing began the moment the raw material was separated from the earth and continued until the finished product was delivered to the consumer. The plant he built in River Rouge embodied his idea of an integrated operation encompassing production, assembly, and transportation.
Michael Shamas Professor Masha Grigoryan English 104 30 March 2015 A New Life in Technology In the new age of life, everyone believes that technology has made life easier and more comfortable and has empowered us to perform tasks that we could perform otherwise. Technology, by definition, is the practical application of knowledge. It is the systematic treatment of art and science. The benefits of technology would be a very long list indeed if written out. It also gives us another form of communication and exchange information that was not available to us previously, information that is both good and bad.
Give specific examples of at least two (2) production and two (2) consumption habits humans have related to material resources Two productions that humans have related to material resources are the production is electronics or production of medication or medical devices. We use these to make are life easier ether to make something faster or try to make people healthier for example., The producing of electronics such as the computer or cell phone make it easier so people don’t have to stand by each to hold a conversation but they can do this miles apart and get the same information. In today time it is odd to not see someone with these electronic devices. Through time we have made them quicker and more efficient to make like easier. We have even put web cams in them so if you do have to see that person or look at something then you can.
Think to yourself of what our country would be like without vehicles. If the United States government one day decided to banish all vehicles from the country there would be many changes that would have to be made. Many Americans would have to change their entire lifestyle. In some aspects, this would be a benefit for society but in other ways it would be a major hindrance to our great nation. You may think that this would just cause you to walk more often than you do now.
If the proper software and hardware is put into the stores then they will have more money to use when needed and would not have to get loans. It would make life more enjoyable for Kathy again and she will have more time to do what she really loves to do and interact with customers. It would also make it that if she did want to go on vacation or was sick things could still get done in the same manner that they are always being done. Having all the staff and stores on the same page would make the businesses run
I think the educational system should be prepared and ready to clean house. The educational level that these defiant individualist have is slim to none. If the immigrants that birthed gangs out centuries ago could not find a plan of action because of educational level then why is that the same problem years later when society focuses on the advancement
Although the computer is fantastic in many ways and has helped improve civilization’s way of living, have people all over the world come to rely on this device too much? Computers make life far easier and many people living today probably could not function if they were sent back in time before computers were created. Although people are just taking advantage of the presence of this technology, people need to realize how to use it responsibly and not to overuse it. Computers let people communicate with each other in the blink of an eye. This revolutionary way of communication can help build relationships and bonds between people.
The USPS has many important needs for the economy and record keeping of this nation. Therefore it is very necessary that it restructures itself to keep up with constant change in society. As the USPS is right now, it will fail to advance any further. People have no interest in sending paper mail when email is much faster.
We believe that by having our devices and backpacks with us give us a more comfortable feeling because we know we can just grab whatever we need when we need it. It also states this in the article when the author says: “We never know what we are going to need or when we are going to need it”. I do not think that this has to do with the fact that we are insecure individuals, but it has more to do with how we function as humans living in the 21st century. There are more and more portable devices being made that allow us to keep information saved in it so we can easily transport it wherever we go. I also think there is a factor of practicality in a sense that if you are travelling to many locations at once, or for a long distance, carrying things just give you reassurance that you won’t be leaving anything important or valuable
