Transformative Counselling Encounters | PYC 3705 | ASSIGNMENT 2 | | [Type the author name] | 9/19/2011 | Cover page: 1 Page, Introduction and Interview: 5 Pages, Narration: 4 Pages, River Map and Conclusion: 1 Page. | INTRODUCTION In the previous assignment I negotiated my entry into a counselling environment at Lifeline Soweto, situated within the premises of Tshepo-Themba Hospital in Dobsonville. I reflected on the background of the organisation and on my observations of the organisation as a counselling setting. I had the opportunity to revisit the same organisation, this time interviewing the counsellor who has requested to be anonymous in my elaboration. In order to respect her position and feelings, I will refer to her as Mmabatho, which is not her real name and I will refer to myself as Goitse. In the transcript, MIRO-SKILLS have been highlighted and defined as to what type of micro-skills they are. In this 11- page assignment I will present a transcript reflecting my interview session with Mmabatho (PAGE 2 to 6) where we will be touching on counselling issues pertaining to checking in, checking out, ethical dilemmas experienced by Mmabatho, and the network resources that they have in their organisation. After the interview, I will provide a narrative account of my interview experience with the counsellor (PAGE 7 to 10). I will then conclude my assignment by providing a River Map (PAGE 11), entitled, “Realizing my Long-held Dream.” ================================================================================= THE INTERVIEW The date is 25 August 2011 just after 14h30.
