The Six Records of a Floating Life by Fu Shen described the author and his wife find each other congenial and want to have a normal art life but because of suffering the oppression of feudal ethics and poverty of life, and finally to disillusion. This book is an autobiography by Shen Fu and it divided into six parts and each part talk about different story with author. This book consists of “Wedded Bliss”, “The Little Pleasures of Life”, “Sorrow”, “The Joys of Travel”, and two further chapters are missing: "Experience," and "The Way of Life." The description of the "Wedded Bliss" and "The Little Pleasures of Life" in the very beginning let me feel relaxed and comfortable, as a Chinese I cannot image in the Qing dynasty, couple can live so harmonious like that. In the early of Qing dynasty, a unified multi-ethnic country was established, which basically laid the Chinese final territory. At the same time, the monarchy has also been developed to peak. In the early Qing Dynasty, China's technological in the world leading level. Particularly in medicine, geography and agronomy, many works were published at that time. In this article, my favorite part is "The Joys of Travel" because it tells a lot of novelty about travel. Although the authors did not use flowery language to describe how beautiful these places are, but I can feel the author's elegant leisure. I am a person who love to travel and I've been to almost all the tourist attractions in China, my favorite tourist attraction is West Lake in Hangzhou. It fully match the author's description in this part, the lotus flower, bridge and pavilion in West Lake constitute a beautiful picture.
