All of the Western culture experienced the changes in the cultural phenomenon. The music in the United Kingdom was leaving its own impact on British youth, with a similar popular explosion of immediate fans. The most popular British band to emerge was the Beetles.13 This band came on the scene in early 1960s and quickly developed a female fan base. Their music appeared to be a sexual-outlet for these obsessed female fans, more than their young male counterparts. Beetle-mania developed an almost cult-like following, and the band, consisting of four all-male members reached world-shattering popularity.

Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band was released. It was known for its range of styles and sounds, a mix of pop and electronic noises; songs like “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “A Day in the Life.” Many of the songs on the album were carefully examined for hidden “clues” about The Beatles use of drugs. This album spent 15 weeks at number one, and sold over 8 million copies. On June 25th, 1967, The Beatles recorded “All You Need Is Love,” with a live television audience of 400 million, part of the Our World broadcast. There are many people who contribute to music but there are just some people who had an impact on the genre as a whole. Some of those people in the old generation were Elvis Presley, Little Richard, and Buddy Holly. Chuck Berry was one of the first black rock and roll performers to appeal to black and white audiences. His lyricism attracted a lot of positive attention from teens, yet very negative attention from parents. It was because of this, and the popularity and fame of his music and him as a celebrity grew immensely, bringing Rock’N Roll with it. Though initially considered provocative, during his career he later appeared many times on television and his music became palatable to many older Americans.

Along with his brilliant instrumental talent, Armstrong helped boost the popularity of scat singing in jazz music. Even though he wasn’t the first musician to include vocals in his music, his creativity helped popularize it in future jazz styles and songs. Another very popular style of jazz that emerged around the time of prohibition was swing music. A brief history/ Introduction to pop-punk Pop –punk is a genre that has been around since the mid seventies and as a result has changed a great deal since then. Pop–punk was and is all about producing music that can be fast and up tempo like punk but, not as heavy, making it more accessible to more areas of society similarly to pop music hence the name pop-punk. The original pop-punk bands would be The Ramones or The Lonely Ones but these bands were more punk but they started the change within the genre.
