| City is considered a place of major civilization. Commonly, city gives mainly such opportunities such as offering plenty jobs, quality education, high living standard, and so on. At the same time, city has its drawbacks with which people face every day. The following are some disadvantages of living in the city which its habitants face in their daily life. Firstly, I want to talk about Jobs. Although the city has more job opportunities, so the fact that many people want to seek a job in this extremely competitive city makes the supply of employment is surplus while the demand for employment cannot meet its supply. For example, you might be qualified for a job, but 20 other people who are applying for the position you want are slightly more qualified than you. Maybe they have more work experience or a master's degree and you just have a bachelor's. The second significant challenge is that The cost of living in the city is more expensive than that of in the countryside. And it can cost you a small fortune for an apartment in a decent area of the city. However, it is possible to find a cheaper place to live but typically it is not the great part of the city. In the city, there is less land but many people. Rents are quite high. For example, the rent of a medium house in Hanoi is around 3 or 4 million vietnamdong, not mention to the prices varying with the exchange rate. This prices are too high for many people who work in ordinary jobs. Besides, food is expensive, too. Therefore, unless you have a highly paid job, you cannot afford to do many things in the city. Last but not least, Pollution such as: air pollution or water pollution is a sad reality for the city life and one of the biggest disadvantages.
