By working as a team you can gain valuable knowledge from those who are more experienced than you, but it also allows you to suggest newer and fresher ways to approach learning. Each member or person has their own skill and expertise, communicating with them helps you to learn, build up your own knowledge and know your own responsibilities.By working as a team you will also learn to trust and respect your colleagues, build relationships and build your own confidence. Problems can be shared and solutions can be discussed or suggested. You can learn new skills, take better responsibility of your own role and achieve your end goal more effectively. Teamwork sets a good example to others especially children and shows them they are surrounded by people who they can trust and respect. When adults are working effectively together and are working as part of a team, the children will see them as role models and will follow, copy and mimic what they see, To a parent this shows that the school are setting a good
With each problem solved or goal achieved, excitement grows within the team and a sense of accomplishment is felt once the process is completed (Bethea, Holland, & Reddick 2014). Highly effective teams are also proficient at the process of self –evaluation. These collaborations learn from each experience, gaining knowledge and skills to address the next challenge or situation. A collaboration’s honest critiquing of the care process encourages growth and leads to an even more effective team. #2 Effective collaborations though can only form if there are effective members on the team.
In the beginning stages of forming a team, individuals who come together usually begin feeling each other out. The different personalities of new teammates and various cultures can be intimidating at first, but it is at this time that the team can come together as one and establish ground rules and norms. This gives everyone on the team the chance to participate and equally contribute; a time to be accommodating and respectful to each other
Dear: National Junior Honor Society Committee I currently represent the “Character” Trait of NJHS by being honest to others and very workable with my fellow peers. Many people rely on me as a very good person to come to in a great time of need. I deeply care for my family and other people. I also listen to others ideas to help improve their idea or to help make it a reality. I will use all of these characteristics to help this organization reach out to people in need.
For the majority, individuals who decide to work with children, first enjoy children. This is unique to that discourse community. Most people like children but would find it un-enjoyable to work with them on a daily basis. But for individuals who go into the education field, they have a passion to work with children every day and usually hope to make a difference. Whether to work with disadvantaged children who help preschoolers get ready for school, they all want to help children on their own way and have a specific desire to that discourse community.
Team B: Mellissa Smith 1. What went well in the project? What could have gone better? I thought the project work itself was fun, creating the reports and memos and other communication were great practice for the real world. I really enjoyed getting to know 2 of my team members whom I worked very closely with on this project and will keep in touch with after this class is long over.
Shc 31 1.2 When working at my Day Centre, I work as part of a team, this means I need to be a good team player and get along with all other staff members as well as our clients. If I don’t communicate well then this can limit my ability to connect with others in a meaningful way. This could lead to conflict, mistrust and cause me to be excluded by my work colleagues. Positive communication skills like listening, open ended questions as well as calm tone of voice help to unite people and make their relationship grow stronger. When people communicate effectively and express clearly what they need the other person to understand and allow others to do the same, what ever level you are communicating at, then a exchange of information takes place which becomes clear and understood, which help things get done or happen, Ineffective communication has an opposite effect and can cause barriers or segregation from your work colleagues and hinder promotional aspects.
Tiara Warmack 3/16/2014 SPE-226 Educating the Exceptional Learner Instructor Crystal McCabe Life Long Learning Lifelong learning is something that everyone achieves whether they try to or not. People learn something different everyday even though they may not pay attention to the lesson. People take education for granted as well as continuing to become more educated over the course of life. People with disabilities thrive at the chance to learn because the odds are against them. What most people take for granted is what people with disabilities wish they could accomplish as easy as those without disabilities.
The students also become able to work on individual goals while also participating in the classroom community with their peers. Another beneficial quality includes the fact that each of the parents can now feel including in their education and the activities of their neighborhood schools. One of the most important qualities of this program is that the students that were once excluding into self-contained classrooms or were homebound can now develop friendships with a wide variety of other children with their own individual wants, needs and abilities. One last reason that inclusion is beneficial is that inclusion positively convinces both the school and the community to appreciate the diversity provided by the inclusion
He said because he was a teacher he was able to hang out with his wife and kids more than he would if he was in another job. I have really enjoyed my time as an exploratory teacher and very grateful I had the opportunity. It has given me the chance to see what being a teacher is like from an outside perspective. I have witnessed teachers my whole life as a student but this was the first time that I really got to see what goes in everyday to being a teacher. I have learned that it’s not as easy as it looks and I also have learned that being a teacher is not always fun and games.
