SWOTT Analysis- Doggie Daycare BUS475 March 30, 2011 SWOTT Analysis-All Paws Doggie Daycare This analysis of All Paws Doggie Daycare will identify 10 forces and trends facing the company today. The analysis includes a solid mix of both internal and external issues facing the company. The internal forces include the structure, leadership, resources, strategy, and culture of the business. The External forces to consider are innovation, legal and regulatory issues, competition, social, and technological. All Paws Doggie Daycare is more likely to gain competitive advantage over other businesses with a strong SWOT analysis of “traditional logic that suggests firms use their internal strengths in exploiting environmental opportunities and neutralizing environmental threats, while avoiding internal weaknesses” (Barney, 1995, p. 49). Internal and External Strengths The analysis shows several strengths within the business. Currently there are no competitors in the city; All Paws is the only dog daycare within 100 miles. With only one facility, another strength is the current size of the building. The building is capable of housing 50 dogs for the daycare shift and 25 for overnight stays. All Paws staff provides strength as each staff member is knowledgeable in caring for dogs and each shows a level of compassion to each pet as well as the owner as he or she leaves the pet for an extended stay. Owners can leave his or her dog knowing the staff provides the highest level of care. Perhaps the strongest internal force is the structure. The facility sits on 5.5 acres in mid-city providing an easy commute regardless of where one is traveling throughout town.
