To introduce “The Pants” you would need to explain why the pants are important to her and how they change the dynamics of the story. To introduce “Mr.______” I would have to use evidence from earlier chapters to show how her relationships with her dad created the foundation of how she views men, and with that how she becomes more entailed to give great detail on how the women lived and their hard times. 4. Dear God and Pa/ Mr.______ is used repeatedly in the in the entire novel. But more specifically in chapter 1 where her first interaction with a male figure was given.

Why does Michael Moore want to tell us that the USA/Bill Clinton bombed Serbia only one hour before the school killings at Columbine High School? He wants to tell us that what the USA does, affect what the people in the USA may do. Michael Moore interviews a young man who says: If you are a loser now, you are a loser forever. Our opinion: We think that if someone tells you, that you are a loser, you just get into ‘a deep hole’. But if someone tells you that you have to move on and try, it’s easier to learn and get a good life.
I plan to go to college far away from here, because I simply do not belong. I am held down only by my circumstances My path leads to greater things, bigger than Greensboro could dream Every day I pass by The Cardinal One house like the next, which is like the other, and much like the one before I turn into my 50 year old high school’s parking lot I get dropped off, expecting the same thing as the day before It’s grueling to be in a place that you know isn’t meant for you Fifteen, I am and I already know there are bigger and better things for me.
My family is one that I can’t live without, and I can’t think of any other way I would want it. As I learned though, it seems there are different kinds of families. Especially in fictional works. In the novel, Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe, and the film,“Chocolat”, directed by Lasse Hallstrom, family relationships are one of the things that keep the story going. There are similarities surrounding the two works when it comes to familial bonding.
Fiction Overview The story I chose to do for this short story essay was “A Worn Path” by Eudora Welty. After reading this story I think the element that she was trying to point out would be theme. In order for her to bring imagine a good theme she had to come up with an idea that would appeal to almost any reader. At the very beginning on of the ways she did that was to choose a very catchy title. “A Worn Path” to me tell me it is going to be about someone that has been through a lot in life and has been struggling with some important issues in life.
Each author is notorious for basing the characters in their novels off of themselves. Kafka, having written his late piece The Trial, wrote the book in order to depict his thoughts that he pondered only in his head. In search of an answer that was no-where to be found, one can find a trace in his workings of his fiction novels. There are similarities even within the style of Kafka’s writing and personal life that parallel the protagonist of his story, K. In contrast, Aira’s novel Varamo has a fluidity and movement that is not only reflected in the style of his writing, but also his character’s advancement throughout the story. Above all, the overarching theme of progress is demonstrated in both novels.
The two story tellers have different ways of seeing the story and two different ways of describing it.Yann Martel , a writer, in this novel is visiting Pi and interviewing him many years since the story has happened. The construction of the novel is unique because the story is either told by the author or it’s retold by the author how it was said to him by Pi. The author of the book however also is a character taking a main role in the novel. Therefore, this writing strategy leaves the reader with two different First Person narrations. The switches from who is narrating the story makes the plot more intriguing and exciting for the readers.

My Review of the Essay “Farm Girl” by Jessica Hemauer As I read the essay “Farm Girl” by author Jessica Hemauer, I thought it was very interesting to see how she viewed her life living and working on a farm as a child. Jessica shared her daily task of managing life with family, work, school, friends outside activities and interests. As I reflect on why she may have chosen to write this essay, I believe it was to share how not having time for team sports and clubs like her classmates and friends, was not all it appeared to be.
It is an adult story narrated through a child's eye, Claudia. The novel is actually the memories of this little girl, looking back at her past several years after.
