Education has many other positive ripple effects. Statistics show that college educated individuals take better care of themselves, participate in more volunteer activities, and more socially conscience. These qualities can only make a company stronger. Healthier living can improve a company’s health insurance cost, and acquiring better social skills and understanding only enhances the work environment. Similar to the ideal of our Nation, to increase education and accessibility to all, for our country is better when more people get degrees as our company is.
In the Right to fail written William Zinsser believed the dream was attainable and that you could fail while trying to get there. Society basically makes the impression on people that failing is bad. Failing isn’t bad at all. You may need to fail just to see where you went wrong. In fact many successful people have failed in their lifetime but still reached the dream.
I chose to research a business by the name of Extendicare. This facility is a profitable organization that is ran by many different locations but under the same corporation. As the Extendicare website stated “Success means achieving profitable growth over the long term to create value for our unit holders.” [http://www.extendicare.com/core_values.aspx] Extendicare is a nursing home and a rehabilitations center for both young and old people throughout the United States. Their mission is to keep the resident or client as happy, comfortable, and safe as possible. The corporate company is a team playing company, as far as working together as a team to make the business work.
This championship definetely did not end the problems in our world with racism or even for that time. It was a significant moment in which the underdogs had won, they came from the bottom and were on top now and had given their people some recognition and made them proud. Coach Don Haskins’s didn’t fix all racism issues, but he helped join black and white a little closer and help realize that we all want to be loved and have a sense of togetherness. Despite whatever adversity one faces and whatever time it is endured in, to always believe in yourself and rise above

Think Critically: Chapter 1 pg.7 Q: “Of all the factors linked to a long and healthy life, education is the most beneficial.” In a journal entry, analyze this statement by comparing education to other factors such as health care, marital status, good genes, satisfaction at work and so on (for ideas think about people you know who have lived long and well and what seems to have helped them.) Explain whether you think the statement is accurate. Then apply it to your life. How do you think college will help you stay healthy while growing personally? A: I disagree with the statement, I know plenty of people who are well educated not necessarily college educated.
1) Summarize the “Ted” talk or selected video. Shawn Anchor talked about positive psychology and the way we tend to look at success and happiness backwards. Most people follow a success then happiness formula but after success if the goalposts of success keep changing, it’s hard to find happiness. Instead of assuming that future achievement will bring happiness into our lives, we need to change our frame of mind to be happier and more positive. This happier and more positive way of thinking will contribute considerably to the likelihood that we will actually achieve that success.
Nobody can take away your level of effort. Another core belief that I have is to always look at the best in things no matter what. This belief helps a ton when you think that things aren't going your way. I got this belief from my parents also. My parents really believed in shaping me into a good person when i was younger.
Asset leverage allows ALL to use their best operational assets to expand their business and improve their market share. Customers are absolutely fundamental to the success of a business. A business without customers is not a proper business I think. Whether you are starting out or have are long established, a lot of time and money is spent trying to gain new customers. It is important to remember that a loyal customer can be just as valuable than new one.
