When wizard students stay at the Russos' due to Wiz Tech being closed down, Ronald Longcape Jr. begins to develop feelings for her. Alex feels guilty when she thinks she's falling in love with Ronald. Ronald gets rid of Dean and then transforms into him as to break up with Alex so he can be with her. Ronald takes advantage of her and makes her evil like him and his father so that they can rule. Alex then reveals she's in love with Dean, so is transformed back.
She takes her place at Jonathan's side, giving him the Dominion Jewel, and Jonathan names her as his King's Champion, the first female Champion in history. Meanwhile, Alanna finds amusement when he falls in love with Thayet and begins to court her. Jon and Alanna agree that they were not right together, but when she looks to George to renew his romance, he treats her as nothing more than a friend. Her brother Thom is rapidly growing ill, poisoned by his own magical mystic Gift, and Alanna is helpless to stop it. Meanwhile, Alanna and Roger have a vicious encounter where they renew their old hatred, and Alanna suspects that Lady Delia and others, including her old rival Alex of Tirragen, are plotting to overthrow Jonathan and put Roger in his place.

She stands up for what she believes in and faces the punishment that she doesn't deserve. Creon wants Antigone and her sister to die because he is afraid they are going to steal the thrown from him, but in the end everything turns to the worst. Antigone dies with a clean conscience after burying her brother even though she knew she would die. Antigone was born into the royal family.
You would think her own father would be understanding of her wishes, but he commanded her to marry Paris or else he would disown her. Furious and devastated, Juliet took a potion that made her appear dead; this was the only way she could be with Romeo. With Romeo being exiled, he heard news of his wife's death and bought poison to kill
Pocahontas and John Smith were young adults who fell in love sort of like Romeo and Juliet because their love seems impossible. The movie spices up when John Smith and Pocahontas are caught together. She was engaged to a Native American called Kocoum therefore it was tragic to find her with John Smith; the Native Americans try to kill John Smith but Pocahontas saves his life. The Disney movie basically portrays them as falling in love and at the end; John Smith is shot and leaves Virginia while Pocahontas stays. The real story did not happen that way.
As for Ellie, Mr. Morton and Marco misinterpret her as Elaine, the Lady of Shalott, who, in the legend, falls in love with Lancelot yet commits suicides due to her spurned love. As Jennifer betrays Will to get together with Lance, the downfall of Will begins, like in the legend where Camelot falls due to the betrayal of Guinevere and Lancelot. Originally, Mr. Morton pairs Ellie with Lance, in hopes that Ellie would attract Lance away from Jennifer, therefore thwarting the betrayal of Will. However, when this plan fails, Mr. Morton tells Ellie to escape when she can, since she apparently no longer has a role in the crisis. Nevertheless, Ellie manages to convince Mr. Morton to stay and help out the people.
Beowulf goes into battle on his own. Evil is a beautiful thing or in this case person Beowulf learns. Grendel’s mother looks nothing like a monster she is irresistible, convincing, and attractive. She promises him power, wealth, and a nice life. Beowulf can’t resist her or her substantial promises so he lays with her giving up the dragon cup.
But after her father yells at her and tells her if she doesn’t marry she’ll be kicked out of the house; she goes to Friar Laurence for advice. When Juliet takes the potion Friar Laurence gives her she has to think about it. This is something Romeo probably wouldn’t do. But love over comes her decision and she takes it. Nobody tells Romeo that it’s just a potion and Juliet’s not really died, he buys poison and goes to Juliet’s tomb.
New Time, Same Problems: False Ambition in Shakespeare’s Macbeth and Peter Jackson’s Heavenly Creatures When looking at these works we see that their characters portray similar characteristics and dilemmas. Pauline from Heavenly Creatures gets influenced by Juliette to believe that if they get rid of Pauline’s mother, Honora, they will be able to achieve all the goals they have; this is short lived when they get separated anyway. Similarly, Macbeth is convinced by his wife that the killing Duncan is the right way to become king, after the murder takes place he realizes that there are more obstacles to over come till he becomes king; obstacles he cannot over come. William Shakespeare’s Macbeth is similar to the film Heavenly Creatures by Peter Jackson because of the character parallels
While Macbeth is somewhat uncertain that the second half of the witches’ prophecy will also come true (that he will become king), his wife, Lady Macbeth, has no doubts whatsoever. She is consumed by greed and lusts for power. She’s a conniving, heartless, evil woman, with a knack for persuasion. By encouraging, ridiculing, and chastising him, she convinces him that his only option is to speed up the process and kill King Duncan himself.
