The Film Review A Stardust Spectacular A Stardust Spectacular The movie ‘Stardust’ is a fantasy, romance, comedy and adventure type movie. The actors in the movie play a captivating performance starring with Charlie Cox (Tristan Thorn), Claire Danes (Yvaine) and Michelle Pfeiffer (Lamia). ‘Stardust’ is set in the 1850’s in small town called Wall, England and Stormhold, England. Separating the two towns is a wall in which no one is allowed to cross. Behind this wall is a magical fantasy town called Stormhold, filled with witches and wizards. The movie is wonderfully directed by Matthew Vaughn. Tristan Thorn is the son of Dustan Thorn and a captive princess who lives in Stormhold named Una. The love of Tristan’s life is Victoria who is getting married in a week. Victoria and Tristan make a deal that if he can get a shooting star and return it to Victoria within a week, Victoria will marry him. Tristan then uses the Babylon candle to find the star but is surprised to find out the star is actually a girl, Yvaine. Tristan then tries to take Yvanie back to his love, Victoria. But later finds out that he is not the only one after the star. Septimus is one of the Kings sons and is after the star as it holds the ruby pendent that crowns them king of Stormhold. Also an evil witch Lamia is after Yvaine because once she cuts her heart out she obtains immortality and beauty. Tristan and Yvaine face many adventures as they try to protect themselves from Septimus and Lamia. On their journey back to Wall Tristan he realises Yvaine loves Tristan. He then also realises he loves Yvaine and as she is asleep Tristan goes into Wall to tell Victoria he no longer loves her but loves Yvaine. When Yvaine realises Tristan has left she decides to make her way to Wall by herself, but is stopped when she is confronted by Lamia. Lamia captures Yvaine, ready to collect immortality.
