The event will change the character where special power, skill, or talent is gained. Sometimes the character will get more mature after the experience, and this is an important element that the hero needs in the story. Peter’s experience is when he gets bitten on the hand by a genetically engineered "super spider". Feeling unwell, he passes out shortly after arriving home. The spider changed Peter’s DNA after the bite.
Iron Man wanted to avenge people like Yinsen (referring to the character in Iron Man the movie). Spiderman was born to avenge his uncle. Villians are the failed products of a flawed society, while heroes overcome the flaws. Heroes, though having flaws themselves, have ambitions not twisted as in the mindset of villains. Rather than taking anger out on society itself, heroes overcome obstacles to try to fix the flaws.
An outlaw hero is the opposite, they know right from wrong, but don’t follow the law. Another opposition is that an outlaw hero has distrust within civilization. I want to analyze Spiderman and show examples of how he represents an outlaw hero. Spiderman is the epitome of every kid’s dream come true. He goes from being an average, everyday nerd, to a superhero who always saves the day.
Shooting webs from the palms of his hands, climbing walls like a spider, and saving the day at the last second. A stereotypical hero, like Spiderman, comes to our minds when we first imagine heroes. These are heroes but there are heroes in the real world as well, who are the true heroes. To me a hero is someone that is always there to help, no matter what they have to do. To help comprehend heroism it is crucial to address its functions, examples of heroic people, and through negation.
Paul eventually learns that John is innocent, but John chooses to die anyways because he is ready to escape the cruelty of the world. (King, 1996) The Green Mile is a good example of Kings ability to write in any genre. This novel is more of a suspense than his usual horror. Unlike cujo, The green Mile touches the reader on a more emotional level because the reader starts to show empathy for John the further into the book you read. While I was reading this book, my emotions where all over the place.
A very minute amount of contaminated blood is enough to infect a human with the Ebola virus, so those working in the Hot Zone must always be careful for the smallest little tear that might allow it into their space suits. I enjoyed reading this book. I thought the message was exact and it kept me turning pages! I never knew what was going to happen next and just recalling in the back of my head how it was all true! How astonishing!
Looking at James Hall's writings we learn that he is comedic with a very underlying theme of change. His poems all seem to circle around a very familiar thing that we are all familiar with. Change whether it is new or old or just realizing we have changed, is all the same. In his works "Maybe Dats Your Pwoblem Too," "White Trash," and "Preposterous" there are different kinds of change that are discussed. In "Maybe Dats Your Pwoblem Too" we see a person speaking as if he were Spiderman.
101) This is significant because Freak is acting very brave against Max’s dad while everybody else is scared of him. This is the reason why Freak should be the hero in Freak the Mighty. Last but not least, Freak is the hero because he is helpful. Freak is helpful because he restored Max’s confidence and knowledge by pushing Max to his limits, and by teaching him how to read better. Also, he is helpful because he gave Max a positive point of view.
Aliens, Nazis, and New World order are all very interesting topics. Gabe Larock spends a lot of time learning about all the new conspiracy theories because they make him think. There are three different topics that I questioned him on. The first thing he said was that aliens, Nazis, and new world order are his favorite conspiracies. Those are the three topics that he feels most strongly about.
By approaching this in comic form, Art Spiegelman is able to reach a wide audience of readers. The characters within Maus are also very unique which add a greater meaning to the comic book. Art Spiegelman creates a multi-generational naratives by creating a comic book that is appropriate for children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren who constantly are learning about the Holocaust in textbook and documentary form. At the same time, however, Maus allows readers to view this comic book as a personal story. Although, Maus is relevant to a wide range of people, its story is able to represents a personal aspect of the horrific events that occurred during the Holocaust.
