2. Provide one action we as humans engage in that leads to the extinction of each of these components. Action affecting Lichens = Lichens need nutrients from the air and water to grow, but humans pollute water with chemicals and air with smoke which can effects there growth. Action affecting Trees = Humans are cutting down trees which is leading them to extinction. Action affecting Flowers = Humans are destroying flowers and plants by destroying the land their on by building buildings and growing crops.
What are they going to do when they are extinct where will these poachers get their ivory? Fur? Or whatever else they kill for? Everyone has an ethical responsibility I believe we are all on this planet together and should share it equally. We shouldn’t cause damage to creature’s homes just because it is on our land.
Deforestation is when trees and other vegetation is being removed converting the forest to another land use, this exposed the soil and often leads to erosion and loss of soil fertility. The valuable nutrients of the soil are being washed away by erosion. To prevent this, we need to stop cutting down trees to create so many buildings, business owners should try to find established dwellings to put their business on. Deforestation also poses a threat to the food chain. These three major causes of soil erosion can be prevented and it will benefit everyone as a whole by creating a sustainable society for our environment.
It has caused us and our next generations loose the balance of the value in our lives. If everyone in the world adopts the Americans’ idea that becoming materialistic or rich is what we want to pursue for live better, only one earth is definitely not enough to support everything we need. It is urgent to bring back the enduring values on faith, family, responsibility, generosity and friendship to guide this country before we can not fix the balance. More importantly, the earth is already become worse than before. The environmental pollution in most countries is really bad, and natural calamities happen frequently.
Collectivization was also set up to help destroy the wealthy farmers, known as Kulaks (Doc4.). Kulaks needed to be eliminated because they only cared about themselves and not for the state. Stalin had a solution for this, simply take away all of their food and starve them to death. This was known as the great purge. While the drive for collectivized agriculture was a wide going trend, kulaks needed to be destroyed.
It's very important for us to take care of our own, without helping those who are in need here, we are doing a disservice to our own people. I would argue that our society would have the ability to do both. We don't need to be the policemen of all of the world's problems, but we do need to make sure we are making the world a better place. All politicians campaign on the notion that we are using our military, power, and wealth to create a better place for all and what better way to let this be shown then by helping those who are less fortunate in foreign countries. I feel our government and fellow citizens can do much more to help.
In efforts to protect your livestock you shoot and kill the wild animal. You shoot and kill the wild animal knowing the consequences it has. Contrasting my argument regarding deontology theory I choose ethical egoism which claims that for an action to be morally right it must maximize one’s self interest. As an ethical egoist you are only concerned about what is best for you. This means you choose not to follow the rules regardless of the consequences in order to meet your personal needs.
Environmental health Unit 38 P1 Explain how human activity can damages the environment For years now we have been warned about human activity destroying our planet and environment. Some of the things that humans are affecting are Climate Change, Depletion of Ozone Layer, Pollution, Deforestation and Extinction of Species. Overcrowding, urbanisation and population growth Overcrowding can affect our planet more than some people think, Overcrowding means more people this means we use more natural resources this means the earth in the end isn’t going to have enough resources to support the growing population. Remember every person on the planet takes up space which could be used for farmland, and forests. People excrete wastes and litter that flow into water systems, and animal habitats, this is slowly polluting water and killing wildlife.
The Irish potato famine should most definitely be considered a genocide, but the British should not be blamed. Though in 1845-1849 the Irish Potato Famine was a huge ''Human Catastrophe" and the Irish felt the British could do more to solve the blight, the british should not be blamed for such a disaster. Though the British should not be blamed as a whole the landlords of the Irish property partially added to the devastation of Ireland. But in this case nature is the killer not human, in a battle with nature, the opponent always loses human may have added to the mass chaos but nature is solely to be blamed . (Anon35).
LEAP envisions a world in which drug policies work for the benefit of society, keeping our communities safer. To achieve this the organization thinks that legalization and regulation would end violence, reduce crime, disease, protect human rights and lessen the incidence of death. These are people that are either still fighting the war on drugs or at some point were in a position to do so. It actually amazes me that the people that make up the organization of LEAP have been on the front lines of this war and from firsthand experience realize it is not working. They believe by continuing to fight the so called “war on drugs”, the U.S. government has worsened these problems of society instead of alleviating them.
