Yes, it should. Educators believe that extra-curricular activities are important for an all-round education. An all-round education aims at excellence in moral, intellectual, physical, inter-personal and aesthetic development, whereby they can achieve self-fulfillment in all respects throughout their lives and become leaders of tomorrow. And the extra-curricular activities can broaden students' minds; develop their interests and potential in music, sports, art, dance etc; help students improve their inter-personal skills. Therefore, it is important of a student to have at least one kind of ECA three of four time once a week. Indeed, according to a research, not everyone can satisfy with the vision. The research shows that due to the low income of the poor families, it is difficult for them to let their children to have much activity after school; they tend to have extra – curricular activities only once a week or even a month. It is not satisfied with the suggestion that to have ECA three or four times once a week. Thus, if poor families can receive subsidies from government for the children’s extra – curricular activities, the student will have greater possibility to develop all-roundly. In addition, viewing from the economic perspective, the subsidizing would help bridging the poor and rich. Reasonably is that, the children in the rich might have more chances to have activities besides school, vice versa, the children in the poor might have less chances to have ECA. Combined with other factors, it is quite difficult for next generation in the poor families to “up class” unless the children really hard studying and working.
