Indeed, one thinks of a child at four and a half years old and can have a pretty good idea of what her values will be. She will value family and education. She will love animals and the outdoors. And she will know that she has the power to be anything she wants to be. She will treasure this last value in part because she is told by everyone around her that she will be able to do anything she wants to, and in part because she has been read a very important book.
Each class’ yearbook is a snapshot of history kept for generations to come. Personally, I enjoy browsing through my parents’ annuals from years past. I would be honored to be a member of the Marion High School yearbook staff because I wish to use my talents to help my school create this book of lifetime memories. One reason I think yearbook is suitable for me, out of all the other activities, is because I have a true love for photography. I could honestly spend hours taking photos and would enjoy every single second of it!
I can honestly say that the teacher in the classroom did a great job with her students and I will be walking away with a bunch of awesome strategies and resources to take back to my own classroom to help with teaching reading and language arts. During this journey and through all of my observations, the teacher and myself had the same goal in mind and that was to make sure that we were educating the students to the
Scholars such as Martin Gardiner and Russell Nye really appreciated the Oz tale and, much like thousands of other fans, they wanted to see a sequel to the first book. Even
Process Paper #4 The Century Quilt serves to connect the speaker’s life to her diverse background. First of all, the quilt brings her back to her youthful days. The speaker describes her dreams of “wrapping [herself] at play with [the blanket’s] folds and [play] chieftains and princesses.” This quilt connects her to her past and thus to her family. She reminisces about her first blanket, which serves as a doorway to her past experiences and emotions. She wants a blanket to “have good dreams for a hundred years.” The speaker makes a connection with Meema, who “dreams of her yellow sisters” and “about Mama.” She recalls her father coming home from his store and the family cranking up the pianola.

Prejudice was a good topic to talk about and to be recognized, and Battle Royal fit the toll perfectly. I had the idea of prejudice, but I was able to elaborate on it more with the help of my classmates and professor. I would also like to acknowledge and thank my friend Christopher Martin for reading over my paper and giving helpful insights. I always find that a peer knows how to understand what one is trying to say or help to make sense of it. He offered a lot of help and was willing to make notes on my paper to attempt at helping me make my paper the best it could possibly be.
I would like to work as a crime scene investigator or a detective. I understand this field will take hard work and dedication and I am ready for it. When I picture myself at my dream job I see myself helping solve crimes. I have always enjoyed school and learning new things. Earning my degree online would be great for me so I can still stay home with my children until they are school age.
The experience that has given me the biggest sense of ‘Firebird Pride’ is my time in National Honor Society. I truly enjoy giving back to the community and school that has given me so much. Through working with students my own age to senior citizens to citizens of Dayton in homeless shelters, I have realized how blessed I am to have all of the opportunities that have arisen during my high school career. I am a stronger leader, a better community member, and a more patient and understanding person because of the service I have provided throughout my time in NHS. Through the tutoring hours put into this group, I have formed bonds with students I never would have otherwise been around and the relationships with these kids and their parents have made me feel like I have had my own impact on the community.
Lastly, friends are a good thing to have by your side. If you hang around the right crowd you could get probably alot accomplished and also have fun while your doing your work.
