Religion Paper For this religion paper I chose to write about the church of Scientology. The church of Scientology is a popular and growing religion. A lot of people are finding it as their religion of choice. Although the religion is still very young, it is very intriguing and has a lot of history. I chose the religion of Scientology because it is an “out there” religion. It is not the normal religion with a higher being but instead a spiritual religion. Most people see this religion as a religion for those who are weird or are indifferent because it is not the normal religion. Science cannot answer every question that has been asked in the religion. These questions include, who are we? What do we consist of? Where do we come from? Where are we going? What are we doing? These questions have had to been answered on the basis of religion and prior teachings in Scientology. Although, with the help of physics it helps provide answers to the questions. This now makes it possible for man to answer the question and achieve their goals. It involves you putting the work into it such as exercising it off or asking for forgiveness. Scientology is tied into the other religions in the way that they use the same use repentance. I believe that Scientology is the same but instead of believing in a god, Scientologists believe that they themselves must achieve enlightenment and that they are doing this for themselves and not for a god. I think that this is a normal thing to do and this makes Scientology just like the other religions in this sense. In all religions people are faithful to whatever religion by following a set of rules and being faithful to a god and, in Scientology you are still following a set of rules and being faithful but to yourself. You are keeping your spirit and your body in good
