The medical staff nurse pleaded guilty to one count of wrongful disclosure of individual health information for personal gain. The case is currently awaiting a trial, but the nurse will be penalized for violating HIPAA. The argument found in this article was the nurse put the whole clinic in jeopardy. The physician stated there are consequences and made staff aware of the consequences of violating patient privacy. The solution was terminating the employee and providing briefing staff members on HIPAA laws and regulations.
She witnessed her father beat up her mother to the point that he would give her black eye or broken arm repeatedly. Marla even experienced her father’s abusive character when she was 17 years old; he came home one day and beat her up along with her mother. Possible treatments for Marla’s disorder would be through the following: Family Structure and Communication –family theorist might be interested in the conflict between Marla’s parents and they might see Marla’s symptoms as both a reaction and stimulus for her parents’ relationship/behaviors. The theorist would also seek to clarify the precise nature Marla’s relationship with each parent. Is she enmeshed with her mother or disengaged from her
Tavion’s father also put on the note that he was divorced and that his mother was not allowed access to their son’s medical records for any reason. Tavion’s mother showed up at Methodist Hospital that following weekend wanting copies of her son’s medical records and that she suspected that Tavion’s father was physically abusing their son. Tavion’s mother’s statement of suspecting that the father was physically abusing the son is sufficient to warrant a further investigation by the hospital. If the documentation was done fully and clearly and with the necessary detail than those officials that are performing the investigation will see that the story the father told them about Tavion and how he got hurt did not make sense, and that they were suspecting that it was physical abuse as well. And the parents, regardless of relationship status, should have the right to access their child’s records, especially when my other patient is suspected of child abuse.

The eviction letter also states that Ms. Tenant is a convicted thief to which she explains that she did it one time she was driving home with her kids and had no money left to buy food, her youngest child was crying
Alice has been married and divorced twice and has two grown children, Kim (32) and Jonathan (30) from her first marriage. Alice grew up in a predominantly white neighborhood just south of Phoenix. Her parents John and Mary have owned a small business in downtown Phoenix for the last 40 years. Her father spent long hours at the family business and had little interaction with the children. Child rearing was primarily left up to Alice’s mother, Mary.
The Dilemma The Dilemma Discussing the dilemma of the married couple who had their child taken by a court order and placed in a foster home due to their addictions to drugs, I will use the Deontological theories (rules based) and Consequentialist theories (ends based) of the Three Primary Schools of Ethics. The Care-Based theory would also be important in this dilemma, but standards should be set by the law to bring the family back together. The married couple’s infant daughter was taken because of the both had a drug addiction. The court ordered the request and she was placed in a foster home. The court removed the child because the living environment was dangerous.
• How is the main argument supported in the article? The writer is exposing her own experience having a mentally retarded brother; she develops a story on how her family suffered because of him. The writer also expresses that people should have the power to choose between abortions or not once a fetus is diagnosed with a disability.
