Our next provide we proceed with purchasing the system is to develop an implementation strategy that allows us to pilot the system to work out any bugs, train lead gurus of the system for each location, and provide end user support documentation to staff using the system. Lastly I’ve come up with a few ways to measure the impact of implementing the system and hold us accountable to achieving the desired outcome of reducing travel costs. The first option the Xbox One provides a unique interface that allow the attendees to get up and walk around while having the camera pan to keep the person at the center of the cameras focus. The Xbox One doesn’t do much more than video conferencing and may not be taken seriously by employees or clients since its primary intended use is being a gaming console. The second option we looked at was the LifeSize system. This system is reported to have almost a life like experience when conferencing. The cost of the system is significant and almost 7 times as much as the others. The system only does one to one conferencing. Any additional features needed costs event more. I’m concerned that this system would costs so much that we wouldn’t actual see any financial gain to implement the system as the purchase price would cut into the savings gained from reduced travel. The third and final system the Chromebox for meetings reminds me of the story of goldilocks and the three bears. The first porridge was too cold, the second to hot, and third was just right. The Chromebox provides a variety of meeting features which includes multi-party video conferencing, document sharing, and wireless screen project for conference rooms. The system also integrates nicely within our existing Google Apps enterprise messaging
