The Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 are two popular, expensive video game consoles. Many gamers always prefer one over the other, depending on their opinions. Although these systems have very similar qualities, they are also different. These qualities all include their graphics, games, and their online gaming formats. The similarities between the two consoles are significant, but the differences are also important. The graphics of each system have a dramatic part in the gaming world. Every video game console manufacturer tries to dominate by having the absolute best. The Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 both have very good quality graphics. The Playstation 3 differs by having a Blu-ray DVD player, which makes the graphics sharper and more colorful. It also gives the Playstation 3 more memory, which means more space for more, higher tech games. The Xbox 360 has a good quality graphics card, but it does not have a Blu-ray DVD player. It plays movies in high definition, is brighter and has very sharp quality. The DVD drive isn’t high in memory, therefore; it doesn’t support high tech games and gamers often have to use two or more discs, rather than one. With these consoles, comes a massive amount of games. Both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 have the same gaming categories, like shooters, role-playing games, sports, music, fitness and much more. They both also have games made exclusively for their consoles’ systems, which include gears of War for the Xbox 360 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the Playstation 3. Although they have the same gaming categories, Playstation 3 has many more games to offer than the Xbox 360. They have more games for kids, family, and people who aren’t into the gore and violence.
