There are many attributes that can be learned while participating in sports. Therefore it is important for the athletes to have competent, caring coaches. Coaches who have vision for the athlete’s development as well as the programs they coach. It is important that coaches understand what values they wish to instill in their athletes.
Coaching Philosophy Each coach must develop his/her own coaching philosophy, or order of beliefs and ideas. When interviewing for a coaching position, the first question always comes up, "What is your coaching philosophy?". It's very important that whatever your style of coaching is, just be yourself. On many teams athletes could get hurt in a blink of an eye. Luckly, they have an athletic trainer always at the practice and games. They can evaluate the athletes when they get hurt. The trainers can tape or bandage injuries if they aren’t that bad so the athletes can still play in the game. Athletic Trainers are a valued asset to the team.
