Marketing Plan SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS Rogue Ales was first opened in October 1988 in Ashland, Oregon and in May of 1989 Newport, Oregon pub was opened with three locations there, and followed by two locations in Portland, Oregon. Rogue was then made a “small revolution, which expresses itself through handcrafted Ales, Porters, Stouts, Lagers and Spirits, and this is the way [they] conduct [their] business” according to Rogue’s site. Internal Environment Mission Statement The premeditations and activities of Rogue Ales are motivated by its mission: “To brew the finest varietal ales in the world with an uncompromising devotion to Quality and the Art of Brewing. To present the finished work with a touch of educational, entertaining mischief. To be dedicated to the Rogue in each of us. To remember it is not simply a matter of profit but a highly personal work of art. To build relationships, not just ales. To be like great friends and remember it's what's inside that counts.” -Rogue Ales Organizational Structure Rogue Ales as a small but enthusiastic customer base business does not have a big organizational structure, but is successful with its vital personnel. Founders are Jack Joyce, Bob Woodell (past U of O fraternity brother and approached by Schultz), Rob Strasser (approached by Schultz), and Jeff Schultz (Bob's accountant and home brewer). John Maier is the brew master that joined in 1989 from Alaska Brewing and is a former Senior Technician with Hughes Aircraft Company. Brett Joyce is the president and CFO, and Russ Menegat is the general pub manger.
