As it turns out that night and the wonder of going to my first concert was one of the most inspiring moments of my life. After waking up the morning after the show it seemed I couldn’t satisfy my lust for music. I started finding ways to listen to music whenever I could. Even during the short 3 block walk to school I had to have my walkman. For my ninth birthday all I asked for was more music.
Leo was getting close to his dream of becoming a priest but his father again had other plans. He sent Leo on a nine month trip through Greece, but finally Leo’s father gave in and let Leo follow his dreams in becoming a priest. He went to the French Seminary and became closer to his faith. These years in the Seminary learning how to live in the life a Christ were Leo’s favorite years. Leo finally had ordination to his priesthood.
Martin Luther King called out to the right minded people “Now is the time to stand as tall proud unfettered men and it is time to cast off the shackles of oppression and go forth into the light of freedom.” (Reality Magazine 1996-2006) Simply because of the actions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. our entire world has benefited from his strength and trying efforts, because of his outstanding leadership which brought out hope and determination for change to millions people. The author also mentions about how the movie theatres now a days look like 7 eleven with a movie screen on them. My take is more than the inconveniences the author misses the authenticity, the excitement, the general aura of watching a new movie, or watching a movie which has been declared a good grosser in the theatre the next week. Author mentions the crowd distribution, imagine a local screening theatre in a small area and when one goes to a movie it is a collection of known faces who are generally interested in the movie. Imagine a movie you really want to watch and your friends are interested too, screening at a local theatre the exitement around it, and the people who really want to check out the movie, the genuine excitement that existed is no more is what i feel the author is trying to convey. After going through all the hassles, people get exasperated at the seat of the theatre, rather than it being an awesome experience.
It has been great being able to rest and get what I want. Soon those two months were over, it was back to reality. I had to go back to working in the fields. I didn’t like the thought of that but after a day I got used to waking up early and working every day. While being imprisoned, I made a lot of new friends who were so nice and generous.
Secondly, I am a dedicated husband. My wife and I have been together for almost one year. We both came from parents that were divorced. We have made a commitment to each other to make our marriage a success. We have been together almost one year now and our commitment to each other is stronger then ever.
He is not excited to receive the Sacrament but the collection, so he can go see James Cagney at the local theater. He receives First Communion but his grandma won’t let him get his collection until he has had his First Communion breakfast. He ends up throwing his breakfast up along with the host from his Communion. Now his grandma wants him to ask the priest how to clean it up in confession. This is one of the more comical parts of the chapter.
She asked if I would like to attend church with her and I took it as an opportunity to experience something that I would not normally do and I went with her. She was delighted as she has tried for years to get me to go to church with her when I visit. We pulled up to this church and let me tell you churches in New York on the outside look like they were built over a hundred years ago, and some of them probably were. When you walk in the church it looks nothing like it does on the outside. These churches are huge on the inside with very large ceilings and a massive congregation area where the services are held.
My first job brought a sense of success and joy; which had a major impact on my long term memory. Furthermore receiving my first job gave me a sense of independence; not only was I happy to walk into the next chapter of my life but I believe I was more excited to finally have something of my own. 3. The effect the event had on my subjective well-being? The effect the event had on my subjective wellbeing has boosted my self-esteem and allowed me an extra income.
My number one spiritual gift is shepperd and the second is a tie of two: administration and evangelization. I agree with the results and even though it is not the first time that someone mentions these particular gifts, it was very encouraging results. I also agree because I have served at my former local church using the gifts of evangelization and administration. My husband and I directed a TV and radio evangelistic campaign. PART TWO: Specifically, how can you use your gifts at this time?
