I asked my twelve year old sister what she thinks revenge is and she said it is when you want to “get back” at someone who has done something bad to you. I asked my mother the same question and she perceives revenge as something that destroys the good in someone. On the surface, revenge is labeled at as a bad thing, but to me revenge is simply an overlooked art. Revenge is a feeling that can be easily seen on the surface of someone’s heart or barely visible in the depths of their soul. Wherever it is, it’s there, and it will inevitably lead to harm towards you in the same way in which you performed it. Revenge is a boomerang, always finding its way back to you. The art of revenge, however, is circulated around how one avoids that very backlash; how you obtain success isn’t based on practice, but instead the type of person you are affecting who you become. Social revenge can be unpredictable, impulsive, and cynical; social revenge begins with comfort zones. The majority of teenagers form these groups by surrounding themselves with people who share somewhat(I feel like saying somewhat weakens your statement, maybe use a different word like “partially relevant interests” ? what ever you feel is best) common interests.
