After carrying out research, there appears to be some very enthusiastic support for policies within schools that focuses on problem solving, and reparation for what may appear to be damaged item or a continued damaging of personal relationships. Restorative justice looks at all types of damages that could be caused by crimes against other students, or academic dishonesty as a transformation of personal attitudes. This paper will seek to establish how restorative practices as an educational tool establishes self-efficacy and offers opportunities for self-determination with the help of mediation and restorative justice circles (RJC). The presentation will offer suggestions on how colleges and universities can work with conflict resolution advocates through the utilization of sound methods, which are based on good practice, that promote restorative justice solutions as a core option for behavioral change. This will be done through the referencing of other established methods, and outcomes; that will help build programs which in turn can help establish or make changes to both individual students, and those who work within today’s educational environment.
