Graduate Study Challenges and Strategies for Personal Success A large amount of thought over the last two years was put into the decision to return to school to pursue my Master’s degree. The pursuit of a graduate degree will require 100% dedication and commitment. It took time to make this decision because my final year of undergrad I struggled managing time between working, school, and my family. Years later with even more on my plate, I fully understand the responsibility and commitment needed to be successful. The decision to return to school was both personal and professional.
I've been waiting a long time for this to come along so I can experiment with some ideas of my own. This is going to be my baby all the way, and I want you to head up the proposal team. It has to be an engineer. I'll make sure that you get a good proposal manager. If we start working now, we can get close to two months of research in.
I know that there is so much hard work I have to go through to get to that position though, but I’m already starting it. I have volunteered at the Staten Island University hospital for a year. I worked hard to get good grades into the Medical Program at school. Lucky for me those good grades paid off because I have been a certified medical assistant since I was 16. I am determined to obtain all of the experience and knowledge that it is required to get to where I want to be when I am older.
Since he was out of high school for more than six years he had to take many remedial courses in order to meet the college level requirements. After many hours of studying and hard work he was accepted into a Physical Therapy Assistant program. This program was a two year commitment in order for him to graduate. Throughout the two year program he had to work full-time in the nightshift, take care of our family, and study hard in which he received his degree. Furthermore, he had to change his lifestyle by devoting all his time to passing the state board exam.
One meme that caught my attention is a medical meme for medical students. My major is kinesiology for physical therapy and hoping to go all the way to a physical therapist. With that being said, I will be needing to go to med school in order to achieve this goal which is why this meme has caught my eye. Before I started school I was told that I will be in school for quite some time till actually becoming a physical therapist. Friends and family joke around with comments like, “you already stress out with basics, imagine in 50 yrs when you FINALLY get into medical school.” It is known that being a medical student is very difficult and takes a long period of time before achieving that “Dr.” in front of your name.
Medical Career Abstract As of now my overall career goal is to become a Registered Nurse. I was so determine to get my rank that I study harder and practice with mock boards so that when I went to the board a month later I knew I will pass. So with my determination and my discipline I passed my promotion board. I want to get my masters in social work. I am determined to have good grades in all my classes and to be present to all of my classes. I am determined to get my major in Associate of Arts from PPCC and then transfer to UCCS.
Reflection on first week in practice The Gibbs model of reflection will be used for this piece of work. This was my first week in practice working with a new team and mentor after securing a place on the SCPHN programme. The placement forms 50% of the programme with the rest spent at university completing academic studies that are set out by the NMC training guidelines in preparation for registration. I was excited to be finally staring out in practice as i had waiting almost a year to start the programme and was looking forward to a the challenge. new ways of working and practices that health visiting would offer.
The most common choices were teaching, pediatrician or becoming a lawyer. I did my research on each career choice and spoke to individuals’ in each profession. Nevertheless, at that point of my life I thought that becoming a pediatrician was the best career choice for me. For the first two years of college, I was a Biology major. Yet, the subject that ignited my inner flame soon began to wane.
I immediately jumped on this train and signed up for the classes that I knew would help me become educated in the construction industry. High school has been a real eye opener for me because it has made me realize the capabilities that an education offers people. I have also realized that the construction industry is a very wealthy industry to go into. It has many perks, such as good unions, eat pay, and health care. In addition, I plan on finishing out my high school years with many classes on industrial technology including three years of CAD or Computer Aided Drafting, one and a half years in Construction/woodworking, four years of math, 3 years of science, and one half year of house wiring.
