INTRODUCTION: Sumba international is a provider of recruitment services. Its nature is to supply working power to hospitality industry and customer service related businesses. It has been working this market for more than 11 years. Sumba international has become London’s leading recruitment company, accounting over 1500 temporary contracted and permanent staff each year. Sumba international is made up of three main departments – housekeeping, catering and payroll. In total there are 12 office based staff. The Owner and Chief Executive Officer are responsible for all aspects and assets of the business, delegating certain activities to the Financial Director and two Operational Directors. Each of the operational teams consists of 3 members of recruitment staff. Human resources responsibilities are divided between recruitment consultants in each departments and Payroll. The Payroll Department consist of 2 payroll administrators responsible for data collection, input and processing of wages for temporary employees. The Payroll Manager is responsible for credit control and financial reporting and a financial director responsible to CEO. Considering the nature of its business, Payroll plays a key role within the company. Duties of Human Resources are divided between recruitment consultants in Housekeeping and Catering departments and payroll. This report is intended to elaborate on the importance of the Payroll department; the formation of team and efficacy of its communication within the company’s performing stage.
