Leaders from the top down would ask what we’re doing, why we’re doing it and finally how we could do it better. As David Bolgiano and Colonel James Patterson describe in their book Fighting Today’s Wars, however, none of those questions are being answered today. Instead, the focus has become solely based around counterinsurgency and nation building. This has lead to tremendous increases in defense spending and mission creep, while severely hurting America’s ability to carry out force-on-force combat missions. In the days of multi-trillion dollar deficits, our military efforts should be focused on war fighting and defensive capabilities as opposed to the horribly expensive and never-ending nation-building and peacekeeping operations 1.

Even so, the two are recent wars which threatened the stability of the Middle East, as well as international security, it has also been speculated that the real motives leading to west intervention in both wars were not what the coalition, led by United States, declared, justifying their intervention, instead the real motive triggering the quick retaliation from the West, was due to protection of the Middle East oil supply that was threatened to fall in Saddan Hussein’s control. While both wars are similar to the aspect of the America’s policy in regard only to its own benefit throughout the world, when we see American policy makers repeating the same mistakes of Vietnam, “where they exaggerated the importance of the Vietnam to the United States. Had they instead, more soberly assessed its true value to the economic and security interests to US, recognizing the popular appeal of revolutionary nationalism within the country (McMahon). Also the ensuing Wars might well have been averted other major interpretive approach offering far more radical critique of American intentions and behavior.
Operation Iraq Freedom When they surrendered in the first Gulf War, Gulf War I, they agreed to allow inspections of WMD. They kicked the inspectors out and started shooting at our planes in the no-fly zone. More babies are aborted each and every day in the USA than the number of USA troops killed in Iraq since the beginning of the war. If people are worried about life, they should be working to stop abortion instead of the war. The average age of the soldier in Iraq is 30 years old so when you hear someone say to get our kids, boys, young men, out of Iraq, they don't understand what is happening over there.

George Bush spoke the previous quote to other countries in order to force them to enter the war on terror with America. Using the either/or fallacy to corner countries with two options but only with one clear choice. Would Obama go to this level? As Obama was already president at the time of the speech, he did not need to worry about convincing people to vote for him.
No longer is it a juvenile detention center they will go to; it is jail. Law assumes they are incapable of making the decision whether or not they should drink, but they are held responsible for every other choice. Many men and women, at the age of 18, join the military each year. Also, 18 year olds are eligible to be drafted for war (Ailas 2). This country will place them in grave circumstances and let someone’s blood be on their hands.
First, he became a more focused and more disciplined version of Bush when it came to counter terrorism policy: He killed Osama bin Laden, pulverized al Qaeda, and has so far prevented another attack on the continental United States. Protecting the homeland is the organizing principle of a nation's foreign policy. If you can't do that, you really don't need a foreign policy. Second, Obama committed himself to (and is succeeding in) extricating America from the two longest wars in our history -- wars that were among our most pointless, given what we sacrificed and what we've gotten in return. Third, he kept us out of new ones.
Obama voted for the AR band and McCain voted against it. They were also veiwing different sides when it came to the Heller vs. Columbia case. McCain wanted the ban on guns in D.C to be lifeted while Obama did not say a thing. McCain also voted on a bill that went against the government taking the citizens fire-arms in times of crises’s. So as you can see from where they stand Obama is a little more for Gun Control while McCain is almost completely Agenst it.

Due to the all the issues that the American people were going through, the government came together and wrote the second amendment and put it into act in December of 1791.The constitution was put in writing for a reason. Even with all these mass shootings taking our guns away won’t fix the situation. So why are we having to defend our second amendment now? What has caused this debate to arise once again? The debate never went away, which is why it has come back up again.
