I had concrete experience from my placement and modules at university to reflect on my current skills and those skills required of my desired career direction and thus where I needed to improve. I conceptualised by picking three skills to develop throughout my final year. It is from the experiment stage of Kolb’s cycle that I put my plan into action and the process repeated as a result. The analysis of the methods that aided my development and the use in practice highlights development in my three skill areas and my professionalism at the end of the PD module.
What led to my Interest in Social Work? Upon beginning my journey back to school I explored a couple of curriculums trying to decide which would be the best fit for my personality. Powers began by mentioning a proposed design model for the course after he viewed the professor’s syllabus, which was in the format of a learning portfolio. The first session consisted of discussion and observation between the two in order to create a more effective tutorial model. The final step was focused on finding the best way to assess the professor’s students on their fulfillment of course objectives.

Perhaps there can be a rubric that students fill out regarding how they feel they did with a particular project or group evaluations that reflect on the general evaluation of a student's project.
