Back in the 1500’s the West was completely opposite. The majority of the population lived in the countryside. Agriculture was a primary economic activity and farm workers were spread across the land. Unlike today there were only a very few important cities although they contained a very small population in comparison to what our cities are made up of today.
As a result of, the recent recession the group hardest hit were youth, the elderly, indigenous people, the disabled, and women (Social trends and emerging challenges and their impact on public health n.d.). It is social problems such as this that demands the most attention, from our public personnel. There are numerous contributing factors that make this even harder on the population of Mohave County to survive. The need is evident with the growing rate of people only surviving because of benefits like food stamps and unemployment checks that things need to change. This is even more of an issue right now with the government shutting down and putting a stop to programs like WIC and possibly food stamps. The need is for there to be more available positions. The reasons this occurs is due to numerous factors like the number of companies going out of business, lack of job growth, future plans for job growth does not meet the need, founding father’s not allowing large business to come to town, education level of community, sales tax is high, and average household income is low.
Because of the large inequality between people in society, this indicates a high power distance. Brazil has allowed this gap of classes to grow within its country. Although there is a huge gap in the classes, Brazil remains one of the ten largest economies in the world.
This effected the creation of the constitution later on because it made a difficult task even more difficult. Despite the weather, Philadelphia was considered a struggling, undeveloped environment. However, the population rate increased due to immigration and high birth rates from colonial families. Sadly, with all the progress that the human race has achieved over the past couple centuries, we have yet to succeed at eliminating this social phenomenon that is eating us from the inside. People have reserved the right to enjoy life to its fullest, but unfortunately many today lack the resources needed to exhaust this right to its extremes, and this has caused a huge economic gap between the upper class citizens and the lower class citizens. Lives are endangered under extreme cases of poverty that some people lack not only the resources to enjoy life, but the resources to live at all. Some do not possess the
The United States’ economy is essentially the base of society. However, throughout history, as the economy has grown, serious problems have come up. The poverty rate today is extremely high, the minimum wage is not sufficient in providing for a family, and there is also discrimination and inequality all over the employment frontier. Also, many businesses are reluctant to enable employees to form unions. All of these problems over time have led to serious debate for change in the economy.

Somewhere in the 19th century, there was an incredible rise of immigration rates. Immigrants were coming to America in big numbers, and they needed jobs and housing. The overflow of immigrants caused a new problem for them, for many of them were jobless and had poor housing. In the middle of the 19th century, immigrants were coming to America left and right. It quickly became a predicament where there were more people than places to live in.
