“What will your friends think about you?” That factor never occurred to me. I would be entering this playing field alone; I had never really been alone before. The situation went from bad to worse when his mother passed away, leaving her little children uncared for. Tom, who was just 10 years old at that time, forced himself to overcome grief and to hold himself together for the sake of his siblings. He even shoved his father off in the funeral of his mother and worked arduously to fend for his family.
When I give myself too much work to do and not slow down I end up stressing myself out because it is hard to finish the task by a certain time cause of having so many jobs going on at the one time. Characterizations of big mouth and ugly girl. There are two main characters in this book. Big Mouth is Matt - a high school boy who tends to say things without thinking first about what he is saying. An offhand remark he makes about blowing up the school is overheard and reported, resulting in his suspension, dealing with the police and a lot of negative publicity for him and his family. Even when it is decided that he did not really mean what he said he runs into a lot of students at school who now hate him, especially after his family decides to sue the school.
